Kwon So-hyun (born August 30, 1994) is a South Korean singer and actress.

She was identified as a member of the South Korean girl group 4Minute, which is part of Cube Entertainment.

Orange, a South Korean girl group, also a former member.

Kwon left 4Minute and the record label before June 15, 2016 (at the end of her Cube contract), as well as members Nam Ji-hyun, Heo Ga-yoon, and Jeon Ji-yoon.

Early life

Kwon was born in Incheon, South Korea, on August 30, 1994. She attended Kumho Junior High School and Pungmoon Girls' High School, graduating from the latter in February 2013. She was ranked fourth in her class. In November 2014, Kwon was accepted into Dongguk University's Department of Theatre and Film, which was announced.

When she was 12 years old, Kwon debuted as a member of Orange in 2005. The band's debut album, We Are Orange, featured "Our Star" on the band's title track. The organisation was disbanded in late 2005 due to cyber bullying and anti-fan internet cafes against the group.

Kwon began to audition for audition academies in middle school. There, she met a representative of an organization and became a trainee in fewer than two months. Kwon was mixed with other 4Minute students, filling the void left by Soyou's departure.

Kwon made her debut in June 2009 as the youngest member of the girl group 4Minute under Cube Entertainment's "Hot Issue."

In addition to being a member of 4Minute, Kwon has appeared in small cameo appearances on television and has appeared in numerous variety shows. In "Going Crazy," she appeared in Teen Top's music video, where she played the part of L.Joe's love interest. She appeared in the documentary A Pink News, which aired on the Korean cable channel TrendE, alongside 2AM's Jinwoon.

Kwon, along with 11 other female celebrities, appeared in the 2013 KBS Lunar New Year variety show "Resurrection of the Royal Family," a spin-off based on the 2012 MBC hit drama "The Moon That Embraces the Sun.

For Weekly Idol Awards' Second Idol Awards, Kwon was selected as a "Special MC." She reprised her role in the series starring 2YOON and Huh Gak alongside BtoB's Ilhoon.

Kwon, along with teammates Heo Ga-yoon and Nam Ji-hyun, competed in the 2013 Idol Star Athletics-Archery Championships, winning the archery class. The team later participated in another archery tournament against Sistar on Dream Team in June.

The LG Twins' ceremonial first pitch against the Doosan Bears took place on June 5, 2013. Heo threw the first ball while Kwon was on the plate to bat.

On October 22, it was announced that Kwon would lead Hwanggu, a film in which she plays a spirited young college student who supports her boyfriend as she seeks to gain the national taekwondo title as well as the prejudices of a multi-ethnic family with a Filipino mother and father.

In 2014, Kwon competed in an archery competition at the Idol Star Athletics Championship. She advanced to the final round and took home a gold medal against Sistar's Bora.

On December 17, 2014, it was revealed that Kwon will be part of a special project girl group for composers Hyung Don and Defconn's latest project group for Hitmaker, along with G.NA, After School's Lizzy and Kara's Youngji. On February 12, 2015, Hitmaker's first project girl group Chamsonyeo revealed a MV teaser. The song, "Magic Words," was officially released on February 20.

Kwon left Cube Entertainment and joined 935 Entertainment after the disbandment of 4Minute. She then moved to TheCNT three years later. She made a cameo appearance in Criminal Minds and gained more prominent roles in The Secret Life of My Secretary and the thriller Class of Lies.
