Keshia Chanté (born June 16, 1988) is a Canadian singer, songwriter, actor, TV host, dancer, and philanthropist.
She has released four albums and rose to international prominence as a host on BET's 106 & Park in 2013.

Early life
Keshia Chanté Harper was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, and spent summers with her grandparents in Hinesville, Georgia. Chanté, a child of 12, moved to Toronto, Ontario, at the age of 12. Her father is Afro-Trinidadian, and her mother, Puerto Rican, is a young girl, and Portuguese Chanté is the only child. When she first appeared, she was six years old, receiving a standing ovation for her rendition of Dear Mama by Tupac Shakur. She attracted the attention of a local DJ who sent a video of her appearance to SonyMusic Canada in 2002. She was signed to the company's intention to record her music exclusively in Canada after performing for music executives. She attended middle school at St. Peter Catholic High School before heading to Toronto, Ontario, at the age of 12. Chanté was a valedictorian who received a degree with distinction.
Personal life
Chanté is rapper Drake's first wife and first love who has been often described as his "muse." They lived in Toronto for a decade, collaborated musically, and continue to perform today. Drake has written several songs about Chanté, most notably "In My Feelings" where he introduced her as "KIKI" and including songs such as Wu-Tang Forever and "U With Me?" Views from his 2016 album "Madonna" from his 2015 mixtape "If You're Reading This It's Too Late" and "Wait for Us" are two of his "Wait for Us" and "Wait for Us." Chanté began dating NHL netminder Ray Emery in June 2010, announcing their marriage shortly after Emery appeared as the love interest in Chanté's Test Drive music video. Emery and Chanté were supposed to marry in June 2017, but Chanté announced on Instagram that she had postponed the wedding due to the unveiling of her magazine on Today's Bride. Chanté was signed by SonyMusic Canada in 2002 to a long-term record contract to sell her music in Canada. She released "Shook (The Answer), a reaction track to Shawn Desman's song Shook, which received an Urban Music Award for "Best Pop/R&B Single" in early 2003. "Unpredictable" went No. 1 in the follow-up. Her first video on radio charts ranked number three, and her first video appeared on YTV and the top ten on MuchMusic. The CD single "Unpredictable" was certified gold in November 2003, and Chanté was named "Best New Solo Artist" in later years.
Chanté's third single, "Bad Boy," was announced in early February 2004. It was also a success, with radio and television news ranked it as No. 1 and currently ranked No. 1. 3 on MuchMusic for a week before earning the No. 3 award a week later. On the chart, it is ranked No. 1 on the chart. Director X supervised the film. "Does He Love Me?" Chanté's fourth album "Does He Love Me" came later in June 2004. Chanté was a correspondent for the 2013 BET Awards on June 30, 2013, and she began co-hosting select episodes of 106 & Park. Chanté will be a new co host for 106 & Park alongside rapper Bow Wow on September 26, 2013 on the Rickey Smiley Morning Show. Chanté, a childhood friend and fellow Canadian, was honored and congratulated for being the first Canadian to host the iconic show.
