Joshua Ryan Zuckerman (born April 1, 1985) is an American actor best known for his role as Mark Cullin in the science fiction television series Kyle XY, Eddie Orlofsky and Nate Marlowe's Desperate Housewives and Nate Marlowe's comedic comedy series Significant Mother. Max Miller appeared in the CW drama 90210 as Max Miller for a recurring role.
Early life
Zuckerman was born and raised in Los Altos, California, with a family of five children. Bullis-Purisima Elementary School was a popular school in the region. He began performing at the age of ten with a string of appearances at the Los Altos Youth Theater company's nearby Bus Barn Theater. After finishing the seventh grade at Egan Junior High School, where he had been elected student body president, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. He is of Jewish descent.
In Sherman Oaks, he attended The Buckley School. He attended Princeton University in 2003, where he was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity, where he received the pledge name "Checkers." He did not return to Princeton after his freshman year, choosing instead to focus on his acting career.
Career
Zuckerman made his professional on camera debut in 2000 opposite Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Drew Carey in the Disney Channel musical drama Geppetto, before starring on the television series NYPD Blue and Once and Again.
Zuckerman's teaching duties continued throughout his Princeton University days as a student, but over time, he began to increasingly concentrate on big-screen film, especially in the Ben Affleck, James Gandolfini holiday comedy Surviving Christmas (2004) and the Evan Rachel Wood dark comedy Pretty Persuasion (2005). Zuckerman appeared in a multi-episode arc on ABC Family's Kyle XY in 2008.
In the teen-oriented sex comedy road film Sex Drive, Zuckerman and two others embarked on a cross-country road trip to meet a girl he's been chatting with online and lose his virginity to her.
