Gatt also charges that Gascon and the detective failed to prosecute properly a teen's allegations of sexual assault by Gatt before publicly announcing the felony charges against him. Following a forensic investigation that showed the facts had been made up and that Gatt was innocent, the lawsuit was quickly dismissed two years later.
