Joseph Gatt (left), a former prosecutor and an LAPD detective, has taken court action against Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon (right). Gatt also charges that Gascon and the detective failed to prosecute properly a teen's allegations of sexual assault by Gatt before publicly announcing the felony charges against him. Following a forensic investigation that showed the facts had been made up and that Gatt was innocent, the lawsuit was quickly dismissed two years later.

A judge in Los Angeles has dismissed the allegation that Gatt had sexually explicit communication with a 16-year-old teen. Following being confronted with 180 pages of evidence by a forensic technologist, the prosecutor decided that the trial should not proceed. But Gatt, who appeared on the HBO show Thenn Warg, says his career has been marred by the false charges and he can no longer find jobs.

Joseph Gatt, 52, was in jail on Monday after being arrested in April 2022 for 'contact with a minor for a sexual offence.' A preli.
