This meant the first team was going to be a few men short, and thus four Barça B players were called up by Guardiola on December 29, 2009. Dos Santos, Thiago, Gai Assulin, and Victor Vázquez were among those four notable people. He made his La Liga debut against Villarreal CF on January 2nd, 2010 before being called out by Iniesta in the 60th minute.
