Deleriyes Joe August Fisher Cramer (born August 23, 1973) is a Canadian child actor who had a brief career in Canadian television and Hollywood in the 1980s, most notable for his role in the film Flight of the Navigator.

Early life

On August 23, 1973, Cramer was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Joey Cramer began professional acting in his early teen years.

Personal life

Cramer returned to Sunshine Coast, Canada, where he worked in a small sporting goods store, after his acting career ended in the late 1990s.

He was charged in 2008 with careless storage of a pistol, and he was sentenced to three months of probation. He was found guilty of unlawful drug use for trafficking in the year of 2005 and sentenced to six months in jail later this year. In October 2011, he was banned from drinking alcohol in a public place.

He was found guilty of uttering threats and carrying a weapon for a criminal cause in 2011 and was sentenced to 30 days in prison. He was found guilty of cashing fake bank cheques later this year.

He was arrested in connection with a robbery of Scotiabank in Sechelt, British Columbia, a few days before. On June 8, 2016, he pleaded guilty to charges of robbing a bank, wearing a disguise to commit a felony, fleeing the police, and dangerous driving. He was sentenced to two years in prison as well as two years of probation, the latter of which included attending counseling and living in a drug treatment center for opioid abuse.

Life After the Navigator, a documentary about Cramer's life, began in 2018. On Blu-ray Disc and select subscription services, it was released in November 2020.
