She won the WWE Divas Championship in October 2009 but lost it to Melina the following night.

Hall was first taught by Roger Ruffen in Cincinnati. She later studied with Dave Finlay at his professional wrestling academy. On the independent circuit as a villainous figure, Debutcher wrestled under the ring name Macaela Mercedes. Mercedes has won numerous championships on the independent circuit, including the Women's Championship in Southern States. She competed for women-only titles, including G.L.O.R.Y., the Professional Girl Wrestling Association (PGWA), and the Women's Wrestling Alliance (WWA), as well as the WWA Women's Championship and the PGWA Championship. She has appeared in the SWF Tag Team Championship twice, once with Tiny Tim and once with Randy Allen. Mercedes competed regularly for the Apocalypse Wrestling Federation and Wrestle And Respect in 2002 and 2003, where she competed in intergender matches and was involved in a scripted rivalry with the "Fabulous Firebird" Phoenix over the G.L.O.R.Y. The ladies' Wrestling Championship is an annual event that takes place in the United States. Mercedes won the G.L.O.R.Y. on January 23, 2003. When she defeated the "Fabulous Firebird" Phoenix via referee's decision at an Apocalypse Wrestling Federation show, she won the Ladies' Wrestling Championship.

Fletcher began working for the Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) in mid-2003. In 2004, she signed a World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) deal. She began playing in OVW as a fan favorite, earning the nickname "Chronically Cute"—and she faced Alexis Laree in a series of matches. Hall returned to wrestle sporadically throughout 2004, complete with breast implants and bleached blonde hair in January 2005. The villainous turn was triggered by her implants' "leaked into her brain," causing her to become psychotic. She fought the OVW Southern Tag Team Champions Blonde Bombers (Tank and Chad Toland), with her bodyguard Melissa Coates, on a spree of blind people with rubbing alcohol in storyline.

On the SmackDown episode in July 28, 2005, Hall made her WWE debut. "Fixer" for the villainous group MNM (Joey Mercury, Johnny Nitro, and Melina) has a gimmick of a "fixer" for the villainous group MNM (Joey Mercury, Johnny Nitro, and Melina). She also had a "lift" on the left side of her face, which she described as a "blemish" in the sense that the announcers often speculated about. The gimmick went to OVW, where the Blonde Bombers coerced her to choose between them and MNM. She eventually chose MNM, but she did not stay with the company long. She, MNM's fixer, helped them to book a photo shoot for the front page of SmackDown! magazine, and she helped Melina solve a problem that Melina had with Torrie Wilson by assisting Melina in beating her.

After losing to underdog Rey Mysterio, Hall was later approached by John "Bradshaw" Layfield (JBL), a retired WWE champion who pleaded for help repairing his image. She was involved in her first feud on SmackDown!, against Stacy Keibler, and the two feuds continued to clash frequently until Hall finally defeated Keibler in one of WWE's secondary television shows, Velocity. She served as "Image Consultant" for JBL, which involved The Boogeyman's sex battle with The Boogeyman, which included The Boogeyman slinging worms down her skirt and biting off her mole. JBL also helped the JBL win the United States Championship from Chris Benoit at WrestleMania 22 in April.

After Hall mistakenly slammed a cage door on JBL's head during a steel cage match and put together a "second-rate" United States championship celebration in April, he fired her. After being fired, she became a fan favorite and launched a scripted feud with former MNM client Melina. In a multi-man tag team match with Paul London and Brian Kendrick, she defeated her in a six-man tag team match and in singles competition at Judgment Day in a turbulent fashion.

She joined Ashley Massaro and Michelle McCool and Kristal during a feud between Michelle McCool and Kristal in mid-2006. She was involved in a Bra and Panties match at The Great American Bash in July, which was won by Massaro. She appeared only occasionally throughout 2006, mostly in dance and lingerie competitions.

Hall began a scripted rivalry with Massaro over Hall's cystery of Massaro's latest Playboy appearance in January 2007; the rivalry turned Hall into a jerk, and matches between the two teams mainly resulted in defeats for Hall. Hall tried to prove that she was a natural entertainer and not simply eye candy by constructing a new in-ring persona, but she was a lousy singer at any opportunity. She later tried to impress music producer Timbaland by performing a song she claimed to have composed herself, but he refused to work on a video he was preparing and a potential collaboration on a music project. Massaro, a wrestler who had been involved in a rivalry, was one of the wrestlers selected to serve with Timbaland instead. Jealous of Massaro's latest achievements, she criticized her and, in storyline, seriously injured her, with the argument that if she did not appear in Timbaland's music project, neither could Massaro. Following this occurrence, she had a brief rivalry with Michelle McCool, who had come to Massaro's assistance, and she was enraged by Hall's singing. On the 27th episode of SmackDown!, she defeated McCool in a singles match, and she performed before and after their match. They continued to compete against each other in May and June, with McCool coming out on top.

Hall was drafted from SmackDown!

As part of the 2007 Supplemental Draft, Raw Brands announced their 2007 Supplemental Draft on June 17, 2007. Hall defeated Mickie James and Candice Michelle in a tag team match the following night. Hall continued to compete in tag team competitions, wrestling James, Michelle, and Maria. She revived her singing voice only a few months after appearing in backstage and in-ring segments, including a stint as one of the contestants for the WWE Idol segment on the August 13 episode. Lilian Garcia, a ring announcer, also got into an on-and-off situation with Garcia, owing to Garcia's ferocious singing career. Hall formed a friendship with Melina in October, and the two friends continued to collaborate on several occasions throughout the year. She also competed in the 10-wrestler tag team competition at Survivor Series, but her team was not able to win.

Hall continued her friendship with Melina, both working with her and accompanying her to the ring on several occasions. Hall was mostly in a back-up role throughout the next few months, assisting Melina, as well as participating in a 12 wrestler tag team competition at the Backlash pay-per-view in April, which her team won. Hall started a scripted feud with Mickie James and Kelly Kelly Kelly in mid-2008, forming several teams, including Layla and Katie Lea Burchill, to face them in tag team matches. She continued to have a rivalry with Kelly throughout October and was also a member of the winning team in a Raw versus SmackDown 10-wrestler tag team elimination match at Survivor Series in November, despite Maria's dismissal. Hall competed in a top-one contest for the chance to face Beth Phoenix at the Royal Rumble for the Women's Championship on December 29. Mickie James was disqualified by Mickie James.

In January 2009, she formed an alliance with Beth Phoenix, a Women's Champion, to face Kelly Kelly Kelly Kelly Kelly and former Melina in tag team competitions, which Phoenix and Hall defeated due to Rosa Mendes' interference. She also competed in singles matches, losing to Kelly Kelly and Melina. Hall defeated WrestleMania XXV in the 25-Diva battle royal, which was won by "Santina" Marella, on April 5, and then continued to participate in tag team matches throughout April and May. After a brief break, Hall returned to work on August 3 against Mickie James and Gail Kim.

Hall defeated Mickie James to win the Divas Championship, her first appearance in WWE, but Melina lost the match immediately afterwards. This sparked a series of matches between the two teams. In a rematch on October 19, Hall unsuccessfully challenged Melina for the title. She also competed with Chavo Guerrero in a mixed tag team match against Melina and Santino Marella, and at Survivor Series, Hall's crew was on the losing side of a tag team elimination match to Melina's team.

Throughout 2010, Hall appeared only in tag team matches, mainly in tag team competitions. Hall revealed on October 2 that she was taking a break from television as she had been designated as a mentor for WWE's youth division, Florida Championship Wrestling. Hall was suspended from her WWE contract on November 19, 2010.

Hall appeared in-ring at the Raw Reunion show on July 22, 2019, and she made an in-ring appearance later on in the program. Hall is back in action in the 2021 Royal Rumble after ten years of not wrestling in WWE. Hall formed an alliance with Billie Kay during the match, but it was short lived as Hall was ruled out by Kay. Hall was rated by WWE Network in April 2021 as one of the female stars to have a huge influence in WWE outside of the ring.

Hall returned to the independent circuit in 2010 after being banned from WWE, including Xtreme Pro Wrestling, World Wrestling Fan Xperience, and Crossfire Wrestling. Jillian made her Women Superstars Uncensored debut against Kristin Astara on June 25, 2011, a humiliating attempt in a losing cause. Hall made her Pro Wrestling Xtreme (PWX) debut on January 28, 2012, where she defeated Leva Bates to win the vacant PWX Women's Championship. On April 28, Hall lost the PWX 1st anniversary exhibition to Shooter Storm. Jillian made her FWE debut (FWE) at the FWE Empire State Showdown pay-per-view as a face defying Jackie Gayda. Hall defeated Maria Kanellis with Winter as the special guest referee at the FWE Dysfunctional Family pay-per-view. Later that night, she teamed with Winter in a losing bid to Kanellis and Rosita.

Hall defeated Tara in a dark match for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), where she triumphed. Hall returned to TNA on March 17, 2013 to compete in the TNA Knockout Knockout One Night Only pay-per-view, where she was defeated by Velvet Sky.
