Jenny Ebbing Skavlan (born 3 June 1986) is a Norwegian model, actress, television presenter, and author.

She began her career by appearing in a television commercial for Pizza Grandiosa in 2007.

She has since appeared in Fatso, Dead Snow, Brning, and Tomme Tnner, among other things.

Skavlan performed as a celebrity dancer on Skal vieille in 2008. On Norway's TV2, there are two women.

Sy om, her book about her sewing hobby, was released in 2012.

Life and career

Skavlan grew up on the Bygdy peninsula in Oslo's Frogner neighborhood. Jrgen Skavlan, her father, is a doctor, and her mother, Jrgen Skavlan, is a textile artist, and she is the niece of Fredrik Skavlan, the talk-show host. Skavlan attended Fagerborg Upper Secondary School, where she was the lead in the traditional Fagerborg revue show two years in a row. Skavlan then moved to Copenhagen, where she studied theatre at Borups Hjskole.

Skavlan made her film debut at the age of eight as Alveola in Body Troopers, following which she had several roles in television, including one for Gilde Norsk Kjtt in 2002. In the film Fatso, based on Lars Ramslie's book of the same name, she appeared as a companion to the character of Malin. In the zombie splatter film Dead Snow, which premiered in January 2009, she was featured as the character Chris. Gitte appeared in the Swedish film Once Upon a Time in Phuket, alongside Peter Magnusson and David Hellenius. She appeared in Tomme Tnner and Hjelp, a filmbransjen, in 2011. Dead Snow played a significant role in an outhouse, in which Skavlen's character has sex, while some publicity for Tomme Tnner highlighted her appearances in a bikini. Skavlan admitted to being a little dissatisfied by film advertisements focusing on scenes in which she was scantily clad.

Skavlan was included in commercials for the online auction portal Tribber and shot in Los Angeles. She appeared in the music video for the rap group Erik & Kriss' "Det E'kke Det Deg" in the summer of 2008.

Skavlan was a model for the T-shirt line Russ in 2007. She joined Studio FEM on FEM in August 2009, a Norwegian television station aimed at young women. She is a co-host alongside Kari Simonsen, Mina Hadjian, Karita Bekkemellem, and Eli Hagen. She and Daniel Franck performed Fort Boyard's Norwegian version in 2011.
