Vendela Maria Kirsebom (born 12 January 1967) is a Norwegian-Swedish model and actress living in Oslo, Norway.
Early life
Kirsebom was born in Stockholm, Sweden, to a Norwegian mother and a Turkish father.
She was discovered by Eileen Ford in a Stockholm restaurant at the age of 13. She graduated from the Oslo Waldorf School («Rudolf Steinerskolen i Oslo») and moved to Italy to pursue a modeling career under Ford's direction at 18.
Personal life
Olaf Thommessen, a Roman Catholic of French and Norwegian descent, married Kirsebom in 1996. They divorced in 2007 after 11 years of marriage, and Kirsebom and their two children, Julia and Hannah, moved to Oslo.
She speaks German, Italian, and English fluently in comparison to Swedish, Norwegian, and Danish.
She continues to work in modeling and is a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF.
