Career

Shayk first introduced Ana Beatriz Barros as the representative of Intimissimi in 2007, and the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue was released in the same year.

Shayk was named the brand's official ambassador for the brand in 2010 after being the brand's face for three years. Beach Bunny Swimwear, and Guess were among her other modeling projects for the 2009 season. The Victoria's Secret catalog, Lacoste, Cesare Paciotti, and Morellato are among the works on display. In May 2009, she signed with IMG Models.

Shayk's 2010 campaign was based on the Armani Exchange's spring/summer 2010 campaign. She appeared in Kanye West's "Power," directed by artist Marco Brambilla. For the August issue, she was on the front page of Ocean Drive and GQ South Africa. Complex magazine named her first in the "50 Hottest Russian Women" list.

With a spread in Spain's Harper's Bazaar and landing the cover of Elle Spain for their November 2010 issue, she made a switch from swimwear to high fashion. "Best International Model of 2010" was awarded by Glamour Spain. She was photographed nude in the GQ Spain December issue at the end of the year; however, she denied being asked for the photoshoot and that the magazine had digitally changed the photos to remove her lingerie. According to GQ, there are 15 witnesses of her posing nude.

Shayk was the covermodel for the 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue on Valentine's Day, in an episode of the Late Show with David Letterman. This was the fifth time she had been in the paper, but it was the first time she had been on the front page. She is the first Russian to appear on the front page. Shayk became the star of Luli Fama's 2011 advertising campaign and look book. She covered Elle Spain, the special edition for Christmas, in 2011 with titles including Tatler Russia, Twelv, Cosmopolitan Spain, GQ Mexico, Glamour Spain, Amica Italy, and Amica Italy. She has also worked for Rampage, Replacing Bar Refaeli, Replay, and XTI. On Models.com, she currently ranks 14th in the "Top 20 Sexiest Models" list. In the same year, she was named "The World's Most Beautiful Woman" by the Hungarian newspaper Periodika.

Marie Claire Ukraine, Spain and Ukraine, Harper's Bazaar Arabia and Ukraine, Marie Claire Ukraine, Spain and Russia, GQ Germany, Glamour Russia, and other Cosmopolitan spring covers were published around the world in 2012. She has also covered S Moda Spain and The Sunday Times Style. She also contributed to Vanity Fair Italy as an editor. She has been active in political campaigns for Morella, A Bendita, and Blanco in the same year.

Sheyk contributed to Twelv Magazine, Second Issue, alongside fellow Russian model Anne V. In the same month, she appeared in an editorial for Vogue Spain December issue, with Mario Testino.

Anne V covered Vogue magazine in February 2013, and in the same month she did an editorial for CR Fashion book issue 2 photographed by Bruce Weber and styled by Carine Roitfeld. During the New York fashion week, she appeared on Jeremy Scott's runway for the first month. During Paris fashion Week, she appeared on Givenchy's runway during March 2013. Shayk appeared in Harper's Bazaar United States several times in 2013. She appeared in CR fashion book issue 3 for the second time. In September, she covered Allure Russia. She was also the cover model for Vogue Spain, photographing her first Vogue cover by Giampaolo Sgura. At the 2014 Winter Olympics' opening ceremony, she was the Russian team's placard bearer.

Shayk has walked the runways for Miu Miu, Bottega Veneta, Marc Jacobs, Moschino, Burberry, Versace, Givenchy, Gabriel Deacon, Desicent, Benjamin Hartnell, Ferdinand Deacon, Brandon Marant, Petro Pia, Marco Perpeto, Fernando Deacon, Salvatore Ferragamo, Sebastiano, Manuel Montner, Guillaume Peregrine, Benjamin Corbett, Michael Kors, and Mang In 2020, she also walked for the last Jean Paul Gaultier fashion preview. When Lea de Seine Shayk Cooper was 6 months pregnant with baby Lea, she appeared in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in 2016.

She has appeared in television commercials for Burberry, Jean Paul Gaultier, Marc Jacobs, Versace, Alberta Ferretti, D'Estrange, Missoni, La Perla, Giorgio Armani, Dsquared2, La Senza, Morellato, Las Vegas, Guess?, Saks Fifth Avenue, Victoria's Secret, and Avon. She became the new L'Oréal Paris International Spokesperson in October 2015.

In the 2014 film Hercules, Shayk made her acting debut as Megara alongside Dwayne Johnson.
