Jeff Timmons Life

Jeffrey Brandon Timmons (born April 30, 1973) is an American pop singer, songwriter, and founding member of the Grammy-nominated pop group 98 Degrees.

Personal life

Timmons was born in Canton, Ohio, on April 30, 1973. He graduated from Massillon Washington High School in Massillon, Ohio, and Malone College, Canton, Ohio, where he played football for a year.

When co-hosting a New Kids on the Block event for Jordan Knight, Timmons met his wife, Amanda. Timmons said he had "such a bad previous marriage, I had no intention of having a serious one again," but Amanda was both curious and fascinating as she did not know him despite his previous fame with 98 degrees. Timmons describes her as the "brainchild behind the rebirth of my career" and states "[a]nything that comes forward, you can be sure she's behind it." Timmons' children are younger than his first wife, and he has discussed the challenge of explaining the Men of the Strip show to them.

Jeff Timmons Career

Career

Timmons was the founding member of 98 Degrees. Timmons decided to live in Los Angeles to pursue a career in entertainment while studying psychology at Kent State. Despite performing in various acting roles (including a commercial for the US Navy), his passion was still attached to music, and he formed a singing band later. Timmons (along with Justin Jeffre) and brothers Drew and Nick Lachey established independently and were later signed to the Motown brand in the mid-1990s. They first released their first single "Invisible Man" in 1997, peaking at number twelf in the Billboard Hot 100. Since gaining success with their album 98 Degrees and Rising, which featured the hit singles "The Hardest Thing," "Cherish You"), and "Because of You," they gained a following in late 1998. The group debuted Revelation, their fourth album in the Billboard 200, in 2000. During a break in 2002, the band reunited briefly to perform on Nick and Jessica Simpson's Christmas Special, a Christmas TV special that featured member Nick Lachey and his then-wife, singer-actress Jessica Simpson.

After a world tour, Timmons and the other 98 Degree members decided to take a break in 2002. Timmons began his solo career by touring with Jim Brickman. After positive feedback, he wrote and arranged Whisper That Way, his first solo album, which included the singles Whisper That Way, Better Days, and Favorite Star. The album debuted at number 20 on the Adult Contemporary charts, putting it at #20.

Timmons reformed his band in September 2005 to assist bandmate Justin Jeffre in his bid for mayor of Cincinnati. Timmons appeared in Mission: Man Band, a VH1 reality television series. Four former pop stars, Timmons, Bryan Abrams of Color Me Badd, Rich Cronin of LFO, and Chris Kirkpatrick of *NSYNC joined forces in a new band called Sureshot on television.

Timmons released Emotional High, his second album, to followers for free on his website in December 2009. The album contained the single "Emotional High." Timmons appeared on both his solo songs and 98 Degrees singles in 2012, during a Southeast Asian world tour.

Timmons joined Discovery Science as a Co-Executive Producer on the Discovery Science television series "Droned" in 2016. The series was licensed for distribution in 94 countries around the world.

Timmons had one of his career's most lucrative ventures in October 2018, joining CBS Big Brother Legend and IMPACT Wrestling Superstar Mr. PEC-Tacular Jessie Godderz to record the single "The Girl Is With Me" on YouTube. The song (and accompanying music video) earned rave reviews and went viral, with prominent spots in Entertainment Tonight, People Magazine, Sports Illustrated, Entertainment Weekly, Yahoo, and many other international media outlets boosting announcements of a follow-up single. The song is also expected to appear in a forthcoming episode of Amazon Prime's New Dogs, Old Tricks by Gemelli Films.

Timmons appeared on Chippendales' male stripper revue as a singer/actor and MC for a limited period in 2011. He was initially suspicious about accepting the bid, but his wife Amanda's and his decision marked a new stage in his career. Timmons was inspired to create a more popular version with the guys doing more than a strip show because of their performances, but Chippendales leadership did not endorse this plan. Timmons developed the "Men of the Strip" brochure with Emmy-nominated choreographer Glenn Packard and entrepreneur "Money Mike" Foland, a process that was chronicled in a 2014 docusoap film made for the E! network. Timmons compares the film to "Mic Mike with elements of Sex and the City": the guys are trying to be the best at what they can do, but at the end of the day, they're family. "How they cope being on stage," the film says, and that although "eople are going to assume they know what male strippers are all about," he continued. From 2017, the Men of the Strip troupe has been active at the Tropicana Las Vegas, as well as touring in the United States and Canada. At times when performing with Timmons, the Men of the Strip performers are expected to perform and dance in shows, although they also act as MCs.

Nick Lachey Details 2022 Total Relief Live Fundraiser And Looks Back On His MTV Past

www.mtv.com, September 12, 2021
Live music in 2021 was a cause for celebration, and in the early summer months, musicians revealed plans for and embarked on massive tours that felt both like homecomings and long-awaited returns to form for fans around the world. However, the coronavirus's persistent effects remain a threat to the live-music industry, prompting a significant number of these tours to be either modified, reduced, or entirely cancelled. This increases the strain on the industry, which began in 2020 and has only increased with time. A lot of people outside of the artists depend on those shows for their livelihoods, including road crews and venue employees. Nick Lachey, who has been on tour this summer with his group 98 Degrees, had an idea to ease the strain.
