Jay Park 박재범 Life

Jay Park (Korean name: Park Jae-beom); born April 25, 1987; Hanja, singer, guitarist, concert producer, dancer, actor, and collaborator of the Seattle-based B-boy group Art of Movement (AOM), as founder and CEO of the independent hip hop band AOMG and H1ghr Music.

He also signed with Roc Nation, becoming the first Asian American to do so. Park began as a b-boy and dancer, known for his charismatic performances and stage presence.

Park was described as a "born entertainer" by Korean pop singer Patti Kim, and the New York Times quoted him as "not just an artist but also his own PR agent, fan club president, and TV network." After being a trainee for four years, Park came to fame as the leader of South Korean boy band 2PM, which was formed by JYP Entertainment in 2008."

Park returned to Seattle in September 2009 after remarks he made about Korea as a youth were revealed by the Korean media in 2005; Park officially left the organisation in early 2010.

Park posted a full video of B.O.B.'s hit "Nothin' on You" with his own rap and lyrics on YouTube, which went viral and gained over 250,000 views in less than 24 hours, leading to the debut of Park's first EP, Count on Me, in 2010, which debuted at number one on the Gaon chart in March 2010.

Park returned to South Korea in June 2010 for the filming of Hype Nation, while being represented by digital media Wire's CEO and entertainment lawyer, and in July 2010, Park re-debutted as a solo singer and an actor.

Early life

Park, who was born in Edmonds, Washington, in the Seattle metropolitan area, expressed ardent interest in hip hop music and breakdancing at a young age. Park spent the majority of his break and lunch time with his coworkers in Edmonds Woodway. Park started listening to hip hop and rap music in his early teens, and he spent time reading and writing raps himself during high school. Park was one of the first members of the Seattle-based b-boy crew Art of Movement (AOM). Park would frequently skip classes to compete in b-boy tournaments, causing ongoing arguments with his mother about his lack of interest in academics and potential higher education. Park's mother, who saw how her son spent more time breakingdancing than learning, recommended that he attend a locally promoted talent audition, which was sponsored by South Korean conglomerate JYP Entertainment. Park registered for the scheme, fearing that the winner would receive a monetary prize award if his family was financially struggling at the time. Park's unwittingly success during his audition would eventually lead to him being contacted and chosen by JYP Entertainment to be a member of a Korean boy band as an idol. Park was taken to South Korea in January 2005 to learn dancing, rapping, singing, and Korean language under JYPE's strict control. Park later completed his university studies at Dankook University.

A police report was filed against Brian Ortega on March 8, 2020, who is a good friend of UFC featherweight fighter Chan Sung Jung (also known as "Korean Zombie") and is his translator. Jung allegedly went to the bathroom at UFC 248 while Jung went to the bathroom.

The park is bilingual. He is fluent in English and Korean, and he can also speak basic Mandarin.

The remarks, which were written in English to a friend, were quickly translated by Korean media, quickly spreading across hundreds of news outlets. Park expressed profound regret and regret over his forgotten words and released a formal apology. He lacked family, the ability to easily communicate, and an understanding of the culture in an unfamiliar world where he was born. Despite outraged protesters' demands that Park be barred from 2 p.m., JYP Entertainment's CEO, Park Jin-young, announced on September 7, 2009, that he will continue as a member of the corporation. Park revealed on his official fancafe that he would leave the company to calm the situation and return to Seattle, Washington. He also apologised to the other 2PM members and promised to "come back a better person." Park Jin-young announced that 2 p.m. would continue as a six-member group. In addition, all 2PM members were barred from their regular appearances on variety shows due to Park's departure, and the show's final episode, Wild Bunny, was postponed indefinitely.
