Jasper Liu Life

Jasper Liu (born August 12, 1986) is a Taiwanese actor, model, and singer.

Early life

Jasper Liu Yi-how was born in Taipei, Taiwan, on August 12, 1986. He has one older sister and is the younger cousin of actor Angus Hsieh, who is best known for his role in the 2004 film The Outsiders. Liu studied and graduated from Dayeh University, majoring in Visual Design.

Liu's father had a major influence on his life. Liu's father, a swimmer and volleyball player in his youth, was active, so he encouraged him to exercise regularly and strengthen his physique in his late teens. Liu's father played the guitar and compelled him to play the piano for the first time.

Liu said one of the reasons he entered show business was because his father and older sister, who both have higher college degrees than him. Although he was a good student, he was never able to defame his sister at school, and his grades often fell short of what he was expecting. Although his mother might have aided him in his poor ratings from his father, he was also a student who didn't want to attend tutoring classes. He has said that rather than studying for his exams, he would spend time in his hobby of drawing or painting.

2010 was one of Liu's lowest and most depressing years in his life. Despite receiving few jobs, his grandmother died, his mother died of breast cancer, his older sister suffered from elevated blood pressure, and his pet Pomeranian dog "Chi" who he'd raised for 17 years (and often referred to as his first girlfriend) died.

In 2011, when he was cast in a minor role in the idol drama In Time with You, he reached a turning point in his life and career. Although he was naturally straight, he decided to keep the curly perplexed look of his character "Mei Nam" after filming of the drama concluded, since the curly hair style had become his signature look.

Personal life

Liu and his parents were born in Taipei, and they are now together. During his free time, he enjoys travelling and going on vacations with his parents.

Liu is also known to be keen on oil painting in addition to writing songs. His dog "Yellow" is a favorite subject of his drawings. Liu has also donated some of his works to charity.

Liu's two brown furred Canaan dogs, named "Yellow" and "Yeahbe," are two popular Canaan dogs, who he posted pictures on social media. Liu's 13-year-old dog "Yellow" died as a result of bacterial infections in 2018.
