Personal life
Dahlia was married to Indonesian businessman Dadang Indrajaya. The couple had a daughter in 1998. The couple divorced, and Dahlia married Satrio Dewandono, a pilot from Garuda Indonesia, with whom she has one son.
Early life and career
Dahlia began performing onstage in elementary school. She gathered voice in HAPMI (the Association of Indonesian Singer Artists and Musicians). She then migrated to Jakarta to attend high school. She began performing at Ancol Dreamland amusement park at the age of 14. When she first appeared on the televisionRI show Wajah Baru in 1985, she first attracted a lot of attention.
She began a recording contract with Akurama Records in 1986 and released six albums. She changed her name to Isis Dahlia and released one failed album. However, Tamu Tak Diundang's title track became a hit, and Dahlia soon became known as a more mature dangdut singer. In 1990, she received an HDX Award for her album sales. She was named the Best Female Dangdut Singer at the inaugural Indonesian Dangdut Awards in 1997 (ADTPI). She recorded a new rendition of the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai theme song with Indian singer Ashraff in 2000. Dahlia will perform at a number of dangdut nightclubs, including Bintang-Bintang in Blok M., early in her career.
In 2011, she attended the World Interfaith Harmony Week celebration in Jakarta. She has performed in films like Kentut (2011) and has recorded around 40 albums in the music industry over the past 30 years.
