Agnes Monica Muljoto (born 1 July 1986), known professionally as Agnez Mo, is an Indonesian singer, songwriter, actress, performer, and dancer. Mo recorded three children's albums and became a presenter of several children's television programs before releasing her first teen album, entitled And the Story Goes in 2003, which catapulted her name back to the Indonesian music industry.

Her homeland success encouraged her to target the international music industry.

She has collaborated with American musicians, such as Timbaland, Michael Bolton, Keith Martin, T.I., Chris Brown and French Montana.

In 2017, she released her debut international album, titled X.

Life and career

Agnes Muljoto was born in Jakarta, Indonesia, to a family of Chinese origins. She is Jenny Siswono, a former table tennis player, and Ricky Muljoto, a former basketball player. Steve Muljoto, her elder brother, is her boss. She attended Tarakanita Elementary School and Pelita Harapan Senior High School in Jakarta. She has demonstrated her ability in the performing arts, particularly in singing. She performed in church and was then taken to vocal training.

Agnes debuts in 1992 with her first children's album, Si Meong, using the name "Agnes Monica" as her stage name. Yess!, her second children's album, debuted in 1995, she collaborated with fellow Indonesian child artist Eza Yayang in a duet. Bala-Bala, her mother's album, was released the following year. She also appeared on several children's programs, including Video Anak Anteve (VAN), Tralala-Trilili on RCTI, and Diva Romeo on Trans TV. In 1999 and 2000, she was named "Most Favorite Presenter of Children's Program" at the Panasonic Awards in Tralala-Trilili.

Agnes began acting when she was 13 years old. In 1999, she appeared in soap operas Lupus Millenia and Mr. Hologram.
