Guillaume Canet Life

Guillaume Canet (French pronunciation: 'ijom kan]; born ten years ago on April 10, 1973) is a French actor, film producer, and show jumper.

Canet's career in theatre and television came before he went to film. He appeared in several films including Joyeux No.l, Love Me If You Dare, and The Beach. He went back to writing and directing with Tell No One in 2006, and received the César Award for Best Director.

Personal life

In 1999, he began a relationship with German-born model and actress Diane Kruger. They were married on September 1, 2001. Canet and Kruger filed for divorce in January 2006. Kruger later said that the marriage was not fruitful because their careers had kept them engaged in various parts of the world. Canet started a relationship with model Carla Bruni, which was widely covered by French media, and later discovered he was in a professional match with actress Élodie Navarre.

Canet has been in a long-term friendship with actress Marion Cotillard since October 2007. The two had known each other since 1997 and then met in the 2003 film Love Me If You Dare. They appeared in The Last Flight, a 2009 film co-starring Don Dr. Martin. Both celebrities have garnered a lot of notice in the French media, but for a long time, they did not discuss their relationship and did not appear on a red carpet event together until the Cannes Film Festival in 2009. Marcel, the couple's son, was born on May 19th. The couple are not engaged. Despite that Cotillard was seen wearing a diamond solitaire on her left hand, a canet gift, they are not interested. In 2014, Cotillard denied being married to Canet but instead referred to him as "my boyfriend" in interviews. In 2017, the couple welcomed their second child, a girl named Louise.

Canet and Cotillard returned home from the hospital maternity ward with their newborn son in May 2012. Jean-Claude Elfassi, a father, accused Canet of violence during an altercation in July 2012. Canet left his house with an iron bar and assaulted him before police arrived, according to the photographer. Elfassi's son captured the actor with his cell phone, and although Canet made sure the video was deleted from the internet, photos of Elfassi were published on French magazine Entrevue. Elfassi and his son threatened to sue the actor for "violence" and "theft," but their lawsuit was not dismissed, but Elfassi faces charges of "false accusation" and could face nine months in prison.

Canet is a natural show jumper, and he has participated in 623 competitions between 2012 and 2017, winning 33 of them and receiving almost €67,000 in prize money. He appeared in international exhibitions in Paris, La Baule, and Chantilly Jumping.
