Grace Evelyn Potter (born June 20, 1983) is an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and actress who formed Grace Potter and the Nocturnals in 2002.

Personal life
On January 12, 2018, Potter and her husband, record producer Eric Valentine, welcomed a baby girl, Sagan Potter Valentine. Potter was born on May 11, 2013 to Nocturnals bandmate Matt Burr. Burr left the Nocturnals after they divorced.
Potter has lobbied the Alzheimer's Association in honor of her paternal grandfather's fight against Alzheimer's disease throughout his life. She is a regular participant in the annual fundraiser in Los Angeles for "Night At Sardi."

Potter appeared in an episode of One Tree Hill as an actress, performing her original song "Apologies." Potter recorded "Something That I Want" in 2010 with altered lyrics for the end credits to Disney's animated film Tangled. Potter was the voice of Carol in Disney's Prep & Landing: Naughty vs. Nice in 2004, for which she also wrote and performed "Naughty, Naughty Children (Better Start Actin' Nice). Potter appeared on ABC's The Chew in 2012 and 2015. During the Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots' season opener, Potter performed The Star-Spangled Banner. Conan O'Brien hosted an hour-long special episode of Conan (talk show) on TBS that chronicled the comedian's visit to Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar; First Lady Michelle Obama with Potter as his musical guest on January 25, 2016.
Potter has enjoyed a fruitful working relationship with country music legend Kenny Chesney; their duets have risen to the top of the country music charts and received critical acclaim. Potter received her first Grammy nomination for Best Country Duo/Group Performance on Chesney's "You And Tequila." The pair have performed together live several times, and their collaboration on the album "Wild Child" from Chesney's album The Big Revival has received accolades from the Academy of Country Music, CMT Music, and the Country Music Association. On Hollywood Records, Potter's second solo album, Midnight, was released on August 14, 2015. Producer Eric Valentine, who has worked with artists ranging from Queens of the Stone Age to Nickel Creek, was interviewed and mixed at Barefoot Studios in Hollywood. Potter and Valentine, as well as Matt Burr on drums and percussion, made up the main studio band. Members of Potter's band The Nocturnals, including singer Benny Yurco and bassist Michael Libramento, played guitar, while others, including Rayland Baxter, Audra Mae, Noelle Scaggs of Fitz, Wayne Coyne of The Flaming Lips, and Nick Oliveri of Queens of the Stone Age, played various instruments. Miles Davis, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, David Bowie, Blondie and Beck cite an eclectic mix of musical influences for Midnight's unique sound.

On October 25, 2019, Potter's third solo album, Daylight, was released on Fantasy Records. Eric Valentine produced Daylight, as well as added guest musicians Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig of Lucius and Benmont Tench. On January 8, 2020, the Daylight Tour began. COVID-19's global pandemic has caused by pandemic effects. Potter also started a new Twilight streaming series, with a special episode on the set of the original Star Trek.
