Early life and education
Lung's father, Emma's paternal grandfather, was born near Beijing, China; his father (Emma's paternal grandfather) was born near Beijing. The mother of Lung Kong is both Scottish and French.
Lung grew up in Sydney, Australia, attended Newtown High School of the Performing Arts before being admitted to the Professional Performing Arts School in New York City and completing her rigorous studies there.
Personal life
In 2013, Lung married Henry Zalapa. Marlowe James Zalapa, their first child, was born on May 5th, 2015. Ophelia Sage Zalapa, their second child, was born in December 2020.
Career
Lung's first credits include appearances in the television film Superfire, the feature film Garage Days, and a role in the Shihad song "Comfort Me." Lung played Carmelita in the television film Temptation in 2003; she reprised her role in the short-lived spin-off drama series The Cooks, which debuted on Network Ten the following year.
Lung appeared in the film Peaches, alongside Jacqueline McKenzie and Hugo Weaving. She appeared in the film 48 Shades alongside Victoria Thaine and Richard Wilson. Christopher Smith's film The Jammed in 2007 and Brandon Smith's film Crave in 2012 starred Josh Lawson, Edward Furlong, and Ron Perlman; Charles de Lauzirika produced the film. In ABC TV's 2012 film The Straits, she played Lola, the scheming wife of second son Marou Montebello.
