Nazanin Boniadi (born 22 May 1979) is an Iranian-British actress and human rights defender.
Early life
In the aftermath of the Iranian Revolution, Boniadi was born in Tehran, Iran. She and her parents left Iran and sought political asylum in London, where she was born less than a month after her birth. She performed violin and ballet as a child.
She attended an independent school in Hampstead and graduated with a bachelor's degree in biological sciences from the University of California, Irvine. She received the Chang Pin-Chun Undergraduate Research Award for molecular studies involving cancer treatment and heart transplant rejection at UCI. She served as Assistant Editor-in-Chief of MedTimes, the UCI's undergraduate medical newspaper. She completed a contemporary drama short course at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London in 2009.

"At the beginning of the marriage [he] was extremely romantic, [he] became obsessed with temper tantrums, [he] became more ardent, but as the relationship progressed, she began to have temper tantrums. He began to have violent tendencies." Boniadi confessed to the loss of a friend and fellow church member after their friendship ended in January 2005. In 2006, Boniadi changed her career direction from science to acting.
