Dennis Crosby Life

Dennis Michael Crosby (July 13, 1934 – May 4, 1991) was an American singer and occasional actor, the son of singer and actor Bing Crosby and his first wife, Dixie Lee, and Phillip Crosby's twin brother.

He was the father of actress Denise Crosby and screenwriter/film producer Gregory Crosby ("Hacksaw Ridge").

Early life

Dennis Crosby and his two brothers attended Bellarmine College Preparatory in San Jose, where he graduated in 1952 and later joined Washman State University in Pullman on an animal husbandry course with his twin brother. He dropped out of the program after two years and was accepted into the Army in January 1955. He was first sent to Fort Ord, California, and then moved to Fort Riley, Kansas, for the US 10th Infantry Division's training, which then moved to West Germany in the summer of 1955.

Dennis inherited $200,000 from his late mother's estate when he was 21 in 1955.

Personal life

Crosby married Pat Sheehan, a Las Vegas showgirl and actress who had briefly dated his father shortly after his mother died on May 4, 1958. She was also Miss San Francisco of 1950, Playmate of October 1958, and a part-time actor. Denise Crosby's daughter Denise Crosby was suing by a woman named Marilyn Miller Scott within days for her paternity. Dennis Dennis was ordered to pay Scott child support and court fees, which culminated in a dramatic three-year case. Both he and his father were embroiled in this, as well as the marriage to Sheehan and other particulars. Despite the fact that Bing Crosby died when his granddaughter was 19 years old, the two reportedly never met.

Gregory Evan, Dennis Michael Jr., and Patrick Anthony were among Sheehan's three sons. Arleen Newman met in 1963 while working in Los Angeles for Bing Crosby Productions. Crosby and Sheehan were divorced on July 3, 1964. Crosby married Newman later this year. The couple had three children, including Erin Colleen Crosby (born 225/1971 in Los Angeles) and Kelly Lee Crosby. Catherine Denise Crosby, the first daughter of a Newman's late marriage to Mike Buell, who died in divorce, was also adopted by Crosby. In 1991, Crosby and Newman married.

Lindsay Crosby's younger brother died by gunshot on December 11, 1989.
