Dave Haywood Life

David Wesley Haywood (born July 5, 1982) is an American country singer and songwriter.

He is one-third of the American country music band Lady Antebellum, in which he plays guitar, piano, and mandolin as well as singing backing vocals.

Early life

Van, Haywood's father, is a dental surgeon/dentist who invented a tooth-whitening kit (originally discovered by Bill Klusmeier) and his mother, Angie, is a teacher. Both parents are active in music at their church.

Haywood's mother taught him to play piano, and his father taught him how to play guitar. As he was growing up, his family performed and played instruments together. He also served in Love Unlimited, the youth choir of Trinity-on-the-Hill United Methodist Church, where he served as the president during his senior year of high school.

Dave and his family lived in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, for about a decade after his father taught at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's School of Dentistry. The Haywoods returned to Augusta in 1993. Charles Kelley was the first student to attend Riverside Middle School in Evans, Georgia. As he attended Lakeside High School and graduated in 2000, he was in a jazz band with Charles' brother Josh Kelley. He attended the University of Georgia, where he graduated in 2004. Haywood, along with Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott, founded Lady Antebellum in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2006.

Haywood co-wrote Luke Bryan's 2009 single "Do I" and Miranda Lambert's "Love Song" in lieu of writing for Lady Antebellum. On a CD for Mary Bragg titled Certain Simple Things in 2004, he engineered and produced, co-wrote, and sang harmony vocals.

Personal life

Haywood married Kelli Cashiola after seven months of dating on December 19, 2011. Haywood and Cashiola married in Nashville, Tennessee, on April 14, 2012. They announced on April 21, 2014, that they were expecting a baby girl in September. Cash Van Haywood, the couple's son, was born on September 7, 2014. Lillie Renee, the couple's second child, was born on December 22, 2017.

As he takes time to concentrate on his sobriety following the band's cancellation of tour, Lady A's Charles Kelley wrote a letter to properly thank followers. On Friday, the 40-year-old country singer posted a note on his Instagram, announcing that he is on his 'journey to sobriety.' Last week, the country music group revealed that their tour, which had been planned to begin on August 13, will not be completed until next year, allowing their bandmate to fully recover.
