Tyler Reed Hubbard (born January 31, 1987) is an American singer best known as a member of the Nashville-based Florida Georgia Line.
Hubbard, a native of Monroe, Georgia, had been involved with music since a youth.
He went to Belmont University to begin training, where he met Brian Kelley, the other member of the Florida Georgia Line.
Early life
Hubbard was born in Monroe, Georgia, on January 31, 1987, and is the first of three children born to Roy (died 2007) and Amy Hubbard. He spent a majority of his time riding dirt bikes or playing whatever sport was in season. He was very involved at church and would attend multiple times a week. By the time he was in high school, he was leading the worship service at church and spending his free time making hip-hop/rap beats with his friends and learning how to play the guitar. Hubbard graduated from high school at Loganville Christian Academy in 2005 and went on to attend Belmont University. Hubbard's father was killed in a helicopter crash near his hometown in 2007.
Personal life
In 2013, Hubbard and Hayley Stommel first met. Hubbard was on September 22, 2014, during a helicopter flight. They were married in Idaho on July 1, 2015. The couple have two sons and one daughter.
Career
A common friend in a campus worship group introduced Hubbard to Brian Kelley at Belmont University in 2007. The two became close friends, and they began recording songs and playing guitar together. The two writers began playing in writer rounds throughout Nashville, as well as selling out shows at local venues. The pair decided in 2009 that they wanted to pursue music as a profession, and they began performing shows around the south. Anything Like Me, the band's first album, was released on CD and digitally distributed in 2010. Joey Moi, Nickelback's producer, was discovered at a county fair shortly after they were discovered. The pair's second EP, It'z Just What We Do in 2012, followed two years of writing and polishing songs. As their debut single, "Cruise," premiered on satellite radio on "The Highway" channel and quickly began to sell well on iTunes, resulting in a contract with Republic Nashville and the Big Machine Label Group.
Hubbard signed a publishing deal with Big Loud Shirt in the fall of 2011.
On December 4, 2012, the twosome released their first studio album, Here's to the Good Times. The album was the sixth best-selling album of 2013. On the country Airplay chart, "Cruise," the album's first single, debuted at number one. On the Billboard Hot 100, a remix of "Cruise" starring Nelly debuted at number four. The song is also the best-selling country digital song of all time, with sales of over ten million and 24 weeks on Hot Country songs, and it spent 24 weeks at number one. "Get Your Shine On," "Round Here," "Stay," and "This Is How We Roll" are among the album's other singles.
Hubbard sustained a back injury in a dirt bike crash in February 2014.

Hubbard and Kelley formed Tree Vibez Music, LLC, in 2015. Since the company's inception, they have signed writer Jordan Schmidt, writer Jimmie Deeghan, writer/artist Drew Castle, as well as singer-songwriters Canaan Smith and RaeLynn. Hubbard and Kelley announced Round Here Records in 2019, an independent label with Smith as the flagship artist.
Since Hubbard's 2021 bandmate Brian Kelley, he announced that he wanted to record and perform solo music while also supporting Hubbard.
