Christopher Parker (born 24 August 1983) is an English actor and television presenter best known for his portrayal of Spencer Moon on BBC One Soap Opera EastEnders between 2002 and 2005.
Personal life
Parker has run two London marathons, one for the charity Barnardo's and the second for the Make Poverty History Campaign, as well as Fearne Cotton of Africa with Comic Relief. He is also a celebrity backer for the British Red Cross.
After a woman said he lied about their marital affair in 2004, he attempted suicide by cutting his wrists and taking an overdose of ketamol tablets. He was left with no lasting damage, but said the attempt was foolish, but that he had arrived at the point of desperation. After three weeks of extended leave from EastEnders, he and production staff arrived at a mutual agreement that he would not return to the series.
Early career
Christopher Parker's career began at an early age as a model in print ads and TV commercials. He rose to small roles in television dramas such as The Bill, London's Burning (appearing in the last ever episode) and Judge John Deed. In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Parker served as a stunt double. Spencer Moon's role in BBC soap opera EastEnders, where he played the younger brother of Alfie Moon, played by British actor Shane Richie, attracted widespread interest.
He appeared in the first series of Strictly Come Dancing and advanced to the final alongside his partner Hanna Karttunen during his time on EastEnders.
