Carnage Career

Career

Blackmon debuted as Carnage in 2012. Blackmon began his career as an EDM performer. Borgore, KSHMR, Timmy Trumpet, and Headhunterz' collaborations are to his credit.

"The Underground," which was released with Alvaro in 2014, ranked fourth on Beatport's Top 100 list.

He met KSHMR in New York City in 2013 and decided to produce the single "Toca," which was released on the record label Ultra Music in June 2015.

He debuted his debut album Papi Gordo, which debuted at number 184 on the Billboard 200 in October 2015. It includes 15 songs, including "Touch," "Bricks," and "November Skies."

In the past, Ibiza, Los Angeles, and Tel Aviv have all hosted his shows.

In February 2021, Blackmon performed his first show under the alias GORDO at Club Space in Miami, before releasing "KTM," his first single under the GORDO brand, in February 2021. In March 2021, he appeared at the Art of the Wild music festival at the Wynn hotel in Las Vegas. In September 2021, he released his second single under Gordo's alias "TARAKA."

TARAKA is also the name of GORDO's event series, which has appeared in San Francisco, Miami, Tulum, Mykonos, Amsterdam, Bulgaria, and Detroit. Underground artists, extended sets, and surprise guests who have been invited by GORDO are among the TARAKA performers featured here.

He renamed Carnage after 14 years in favor of his new alias, GORDO, in May 2022. He made the change to reflect his transition from trap and bass to the house and techno subgenres. GORDO created and co-composed several songs on Drake's surprise-released album Honestly, Nevermind, which was released in June 2022. He revealed his artist residency at the Destino Pacha Mykonos hotel in Agios Stefanos, Greece, in the same month. He has also worked at the XS nightclub in Las Vegas as an artist-in-residence. In August 2022, GORDO put on the last show at Pershing Square before it closed for renovations. In September 2022, he appeared at the Electric Zoo music festival for the first time.
