Career
Ekberg attended Academy of Art University in San Francisco from 2011-2013 and played on the school's soccer team before heading back to Sweden.
Aron began his career as a member of a Swedish electro house-hip hop band Albatraoz, which was formed in 2012 by himself and four of his closest friends who he had encountered while growing up. The self-titled song "Albatraoz" was released on August 2, 2013, and Sony Music followed them shortly after. The song debuted on the Swedish Singles Chart at 36 and remained on the charts for 18 weeks. In Sweden, "Albatraoz" was awarded double platinum. The song had reached 8.5 million plays on Spotify in January 2014, when the group toured to promote the album. While touring Scandinavia from 2013 to 2017, the band performed "Arriba" and "Wunderbar."
Ekberg's debut solo album "I'm an Albatraoz" was released on March 20, 2014, with his younger sister, Nora Ekberg, more well-known as Little Sis Nora, on vocals. Following some success on their own, Ekberg has also signed his solo project to Sony Music. The song debuted at number one in Sweden and Denmark, and top ten in Germany, Austria, Norway, Finland, Australia, and the Netherlands. In Sweden and Australia, it was awarded double platinum, while in New Zealand, Italy, and Denmark, it was named platinum. Over 1.3 billion views on YouTube have also been devoted to the music video.
On November 20, 2015, his second single, "Fired Cuz I Was Late," debuted on the Swedish top 100.
Ekberg's third solo album, "Little Swing," starring Little Sis Nora, was released on February 26, 2016. When Vodafone UK began using the song in their roaming advert campaign, it received little traction in the United Kingdom.
"The Woodchuck Song" was released on July 17, 2020, he said. It reached number 12 on Spotify's "Swee Viral 50" chart.
