Club career
Pea was born in Ciudad, Tamaulipas, and received a degree from C.F. Pachuca's youth divisions are grouped together on April 14th, 2010. He made his first-team debut against Cruz Azul on April 14, 2010, starting as a late replacement in a 2–2 away draw. He appeared more often in the upcoming season, playing 19 matches (13 as a starter).

Pea was selected from the 23-man squad for the 2013 Gold Cup. Mexico was eventually knocked out of the semifinals by runners-up Panama, with Pea appearing in four matches throughout the tournament. He was later called up by V.ctor Manuel Vucetich to the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier matches against Panama and Costa Rica. In a friendly match against Finland on October 30, he scored his first international goal. Pea was selected in the 23 squad men in the 2014 World Cup.
