Bryana Salaz Career

Career

Salaz's initial aspiration was not in music. For many years, she had adored soccer. She was 12 years old when her mother entered her in a military singing competition. Salaz reluctantly agreed to participate. She stepped on stage with a lot of encouragement and discovered that not only did she love performing but she also loved being on stage. As a result of the competition, she was invited to appear at several places in Hawaii, such as Don Ho's Island Grill, Martin Luther King Jr.'s concert in Kapiolani Park, and the American National Anthem for the D.A.R.E. A program with a target audience of about 10,000 people. She competed in numerous singing competitions and was named first place at the Iolani Talent Competition in 2010. She ventured out into musicals and auditioned for High School Musical 2 at the Ft. Shafter Richardson Theatre. Although she was allowed to audition, the actresses told her she was too young for any of the roles. The director, who was captivated by the audition, arranged a role for her as the "Jr." "Sharpettes," the singer claims. She has since appeared in many more musicals. Salaz began performing in theater and singing competitions after moving to Atlanta. In 2011, she auditioned for America's Got Talent and advanced to the Las Vegas Rounds.

Salaz will compete in Season 7 of The Voice in September 2014 on Gwen Stefani's advice. Salaz covered Ariana Grande's "Problem" in the first episode of Season 7. Three coaches (Adam Levine, Gwen Stefani, and Blake Shelton) turned around, but Pharrell Williams said the only reason for not turning his chair was because she felt she would be closer to Gwen than with him. Salaz ended up choosing Gwen as her coach. Salaz defeated Gianna Salvato, who performed "Boom Clap" during the Battle rounds. In the process of qualifying for the Knockout rounds, she was chosen over Salvato. Salaz performed "Heart Attack" during the Knockouts, in which she defeated Sugar Joans and advanced to The Live Playoffs. Salaz performed a recreation of "Amnesia" in the Summer Playoffs. Despite her high marks from the four coaches, especially her mentor Gwen, Salaz's sister, Ryan Sill, was eliminated the following day from the Playoffs Results night as her teammate, Ryan Sill, was chosen over her to advance to the Top 12 despite her performance. Many believed that both the Top 12 names were different, as both Taylor Phelan and her expulsion were among the night's most controversial, although others believed that both were real names for the Top 12.

Salaz was announced a member of the girl-band Sweet Suspense on June 11, 2015, replacing Celine Polenghi as the third member of the The X Factor alum group. In 2015, they were supposed to announce "Money" as a single; however, in September, it was confirmed that she had left the company to pursue a career in television, leaving the organization's future unclear.

Salaz announced in 2016 that she would appear on Best Friends 2, the Disney Channel show Best Friends Whenever portraying Princess Daisy. She also revealed that she and former Sweet Suspense member Summer Reign had reunited to form 'SNRG,' a new girl band that was touring major record labels and film studios to discuss their music. It was announced in May 2016 that she had left SNRG.
