Bella Ferraro Career

Career

Ferraro appeared on "Skinny Love" in the fourth season of The X Factor in 2012, with a treatment based on Birdy's version. After seeing the success of One Direction on the UK version, she was inspired to audition for the show. Ferraro skipped the lyrics to the two songs she performed: "Something I Used to Know" and "Don't Dream It's Over" on the super bootcamp stage. Ferraro performed Matt Corby's "Brother" on the first live performance show on September 17th, 2012, and the judges had mixed reactions. Mel B said that it was not the right song choice, while Ronan Keating disagreed, claiming he adored the song choice and referring to her appearance as "beautiful."

Ferraro performed a stripped back version of "What Makes You Beautiful" on the second live performance show. The judges mixed their verdict, who found that although the song was a good choice, the arrangement did not correspond to that week's theme, "Party Week." On the ARIA Singles Chart, her album "What Makes You Beautiful" debuted at number 62. She performed "Big Yellow Taxi" by Joni Mitchell for her vocals at the third live performance showcase, but the judges applauded her performance but mixed feedback regarding the choreography was mixed. The vocals were fine, according to Keating, but the dancing came in and it wasn't. "Big Yellow Taxi" debuted at number 84 on Ferraro's "Big Yellow Taxi" debut. She performed "Ray of Light" by Madonna on her fourth live show and then the English version of "99 Red Balloons" from German band Nena was introduced. Ferraro dropped into the bottom two alongside Fourtunate in week six, but was saved after Mel B, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, and Guy Sebastian decided not to delete Fourtunate.

Ferraro performed "Sweet Disposition" on live performance at the Temper Trap's seventh birthday show. "Sweet Disposition" was her first appearance on television, ranked at number 59. Ferraro performed "Dreams" by The Cranberries on Sunday's eighth live performance show, debuting at number 82. Ferraro and The Collective ended up in the bottom two of the live shows in the semi-finals; the result was a deadlock, and so the show was reverted to the earlier popular vote. Ferraro was disqualified and thus placed fourth in the standings. "The Last Day on Earth" debuted at number 90 on her debut.

Will Singe of The Collective's second single "Forgot You" was released on October 18, 2013 and reached number 76 on the ARIA Singles Chart.

Bella dropped out of her recording deal and went on to avoid all social media in 2014. Ferraro is no longer a member of Sony Music Australia.

Bella studied music production, played backing vocals, keys, and even performed under the name 'LilBels.' Bella performed as LilBels in Sydney, where she was discovered by artist Zepha, a turning point for Bella's return to music.

Bella appeared at Low 302, where she performed unreleased tracks that were recently finalized with friend and artist Zepha. Bella decided to debut 'Her', a single that was not announced in August 2020 after the positive response. The single will be included in a forthcoming EP. Triple j Unearthed's Dave Ruby Howe had this to say about the single "Bella"'s vocal, and the whole pulsing album does more than just luring you in. It's more like they snail you. All seems to be connected; skin to skin, baring the soul." Bella debuted her second single from her forthcoming EP "Believe You" on October 30, 2020.
