Barun Sobti (born 21 August 1984) is an Indian actor.

He began his acting career in 2009 with Star Plus's Shraddha and later appeared in a negative role in Dill Mill Gayye.

He starred in Sony's film Baat Hamari Pakki Hai (2010). Sobti played Arnav Singh Raizada in Iss Pya Naam Doon? Sobti made his film debut with the romantic comedy Main Aur Mr. Riight (2014) and then worked on Tu Hai Mera on Sunday (2017).

He has appeared in Hotstar Originals' Tanhaiyan web series (2016) and ALTBalaji's The Great Indian Dysfunctional Family (2018).

Sobti has appeared in short films Dry Dreams (2015) and the Voot originals Derma (2019) and Asura (2019).

Early life

Sobti was born in Delhi, India, on August 21, 1984 to Raj Sobti and Veenu Sobti. Sobti attended St. Mark's School in Paschim Vihar, New Delhi. Before entering the entertainment industry, he served as an operations manager at Jindal Telecom for 7 years.

Personal life

Sobti married Manchanda in a private ceremony on December 12th 2010 in a Gurudwara, he met his wife Pashmeen Manchanda the first time in class. Sifat, the couple's daughter, was born in 2019.

Following Hrithik Roshan and Shahid Kapoor, he was named as the 3rd Sexiest Asian Man by UK magazine Eastern Eye. In 2017, he came in second runner up to Chris Evans and ranked second in the Gazette Review list of the World's Most Handsome Men in the World.
