He is a member of Ringside, the producer-half of rap group The Wow. He's also a member of the Getty family.

He is best known for his appearances in Lord of the Flies, as Richard Montana in Charmed, Thomas Grace of the American action drama Brothers & Sisters, both of which have aired on ABC.

Early life

Paul Balthazar Getty was born in Tarzana, California, and grew up in San Francisco before being educated in Scotland at Gordonstoun, Scotland. He was born to father John Paul Getty III and great-grandfather J. Paul Getty, who created Getty Oil and was one of the world's richest men, and named ake for the Getty Center museum at one point. Gisela Getty (née Schmidt), a German-born professional photographer and documentary film maker, is his mother. In 1993, his parents divorced. Anna (born 1972) is his sister, and his father adopted her.

Personal life

Getty married fashion designer Rosetta Millington in 2000. They have four children, daughters, Grace, Violet, and June Catherine, as well as Cassius Paul, a son. Cassius' godfather is Getty's close friend and fellow actor Eric Dane. In 2008, Getty had a public showdown with English actress Sienna Miller, but later reconciled with his wife.

Film career

In 1987, Getty began acting at the age of 12. After being noticed by a casting director Robin Joy Allan in his art class at school, he auditioned for the lead role in Lord of the Flies. He appeared in Young Guns II, Natural Born Killers, Judge Dredd, Mr. Holland's Opus, Dr. Hell's Opus, Missing Highway, Big City Blues, Deuces Wild, Ladder 49, Feast, and the television miniseries Traffic from the 1990s to the 2000s.

Richard Montana, a male witch romantically associated with Paige Matthews, appeared on Getty guest star Richard Montana on television series Charmed as Richard Montana. Agent Thomas Grace appeared in Alias' fifth season as Agent Thomas Grace. He appeared in the ABC prime time drama Brothers & Sisters, starring Alias Costar Ron Rifkin, first broadcast in September 2006. Thomas "Tommy" Walker, the third-born of the five Walker siblings, appeared in Getty's role.

According to news, Getty's deal as a full-time series regular in Brothers & Sisters would not be renewed due in part to budgetary and storyline concerns. Getty was still included in the principal cast of Season 4, but he did not appear. In the sixth episode of Season 4, Getty made his return to the series. Although he no longer appeared on every episode, he continued to make appearances on the show until its cancellation.

Music career

At age 15, Getty began deejaying and making electronic music. He is a member of Ringside, an indie rock/electronic band, and he is the producer of rap duo The Wow.

In 2013, he founded Purplehaus Records, a record store. In Los Angeles' Fairfax and Melrose districts, he began Purplehaus Productions.
