Muhammad Atif Aslam (born 12 March 1983) is a Pakistani playback singer and actress.

He has released multiple chart-topping albums and is best known for his vocal belting techniques.

He mainly sings in Hindi, Urdu, and has also sung in Bengali.

In 2008, he was given Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, Pakistan's fourth-highest decoration, and has also received numerous Lux style awards.

Bol's first appearance was in the 2011 social drama.

In 2019, he was named The Dubai Walk of Fame for being the "Best Singer in Pakistan."

Early life

Atif Aslam was born in Wazirabad, Pakistan, on March 12th, 1983, into a Punjabi Muslim Arain family. He attended Kimberley Hall School in Lahore from 1991 to Rawalpindi, where he continued his studies at St. Paul's Cambridge School in Satellite Town. Aslam returned to Lahore, 1995, where he continued his studies at a Divisional Public School and College (DPSC) branch. He continued to Fazaia Inter College from 1999 to 2001, then to PICS to pursue a bachelor's degree in computer science. Aslam admitted in an interview that his aim at this point was to become a professional cricketer.

On March 29, 2013, Sara Bharwana, an educationist, married in Lahore. Abdul Ahad and Aryaan Aslam, their two sons, are from Kuka (kuka).

Aslam's first album, Jal Pari, was released on July 17, 2004 by Sarmad Abdul Ghafoor, who had 11 tracks, and it was a big success.

Meri Kahani, Aslam's third solo album, has 12 songs on it. Sarmad Abdul Ghafoor produced it. The album was nominated in the category "Best Album" in the seventh Lux Style Awards in 2008. In the category "Best Rock Song" category, the album's song "Hangami Halaat" was nominated in 2009.

Pehli Nazar Mein and Bakhuda Ho from Race and Kismat Konnection, respectively arranged by Pritam with lyrics by Sameer and Sayeed Qaudri respectively, were released in 2008. Pehli Nazar Mein has contributed to Bollywood's fame as a youngster and has also received the IIFA Award.

He performed two songs, Tu Jaane Na and Tera Hone Laga Hoon, in 2009's romantic film Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, as well as remixed versions of both songs, all of which were written by Pritam with lyrics by Irshad Kamil and Ashish Pandit, earning him several awards. He performed "Hum Mustafavi" in honor of Olper's Qawwali. He performed "Le Ja Tu Mujhe" by Sachin-Jigar in 2011, a song written by Sameer Anjaan. With Hadiqa Kiani's film Bol, in which he was portrayed as the lead role, he performed two songs "Hona Tha Pyar" and "Kaho Aaj Bol Do" during the same year.

He recorded two songs for the film Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, "Tu Muhabbat Hai" and "Piya O Re Piya," but not the sad version of Sachin-Jigar's later compositions. For the Hollywood film The Reluctant Fundamentalist, he recorded two songs "Bol Ke Lub Azaad Hain" and "Mori Araj Suno."

In addition, he appeared on "Charka Nolakha," "Rabba Sacheya," and "Dholna" in Coke Studio's Season Five. He also performed "Juro Ge To Jano Ge" for Jazz Pakistan.

In 2014, Main Rang Sharbaton Kawas nominated for "Best Song" at the World Music Awards. "Main Rang Sharbaton Ka" received several accolades and multiple nominations. In Pakistan, Zameen Jaagti Hai and Tu Khaas Hai were released.

"Tera Naam Doon" and "Nahi Woh Saamne" were two songs for the film Entertainment in 2014. Both songs were produced by Sachin-Jigar with lyrics written by Priya Panchal. He performed "Dil Se Dil" and Etisalat's commercial song "Faasle" in addition to QMobile Noir's "Dil Se Dil" and "Faasle" by the same artist.

He worked with Sachin-Jigar on Jeena Jeena's film Badlapur. The song Jeena Jeena debuted on numerous charts and was one of 2015's biggest hits, earning him a nomination for best playback singer. Ho Mann Jahaan also received the Dil Kare award last year.

In July 2020, Aslam's version of "Tajdar-e-Haram" became the first video origin in Pakistan to reach the historical figure. The qawwali-song, originally performed by Sabri Brothers, was released in CokeStudio Season 8 on August 15th and has been seen in 186 countries around the world. In addition, Aslam's first solo video on YouTube has made the most popular, beating Aslam's first individual video.

Aslam was nominated for the "Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer" by musician Arko Pravo for the chartbuster song Tere Sang Yaara from Rustom, which topped "Bollywood Life" chart. Atif performed for four versions of Loveshhuda's "Mar Jaayen" from Loveshhuda in 2016, penned by Sayeed Qaudri.

Actor in Law "Dil Dancer" from the film Actor in Law, which also received the LUX Award for best playback singer. Ali Zafar performed"Yaariyaan" with Ali Zafar, a Sahir Ali Bagga song that was released on 2016 Defence Day. For the marketing of Huawei Honor 5X, he collaborated with Maher Zain on the song "I'm Alive" and performed "Jal Pari."

"Hoor" is a Hindi Medium song that was released at the start of the year. "Baarish" from Half Girlfriend, composed by Tanishk Bagchi and Ballad's "Musafir" from Sweetie Weds NRI, was released shortly after. JAM8's "Darasal" Romantic song was released the same year. Two Ballad songs "Main Agar" from Tubelight and "Jaane De" from Qarib Qarib Singlle were disaperated, composed by Pritam and Vishal Mishra respectively. "Dil Diyan Gallan" from Tiger Zinda Hai was released in December 2017, composed by Vishal-Shekhar and lyrics by Irshad Kamil. As of January 2021, the song has received over 670 million views on YouTube as a result. "Mithe Alo," his first Bengali song from Cockpit film, was also released.

Pehli Dafa produced Aslam and Ileana D'Cruz, which was a creation of Shiraz Uppal. On Atif's birthday, Atif himself wrote a single "Younhi" that included Aslam and Nicolli Dela Nina. Aslam and Abida Parveen, a Shani Arshad group, sang "Noor-e-Azal" Hamd, a sung of Shani Arshad's "Noor-e-Azal" Hamd. He also performed "Kabhi Percham Main," an ISPR song that was unveiled on 2017 Defence Day.

He performed "Pakistan National Anthem" and "Us Rah Par" at the 16th Lux Style Awards, a prize winning performer.

Aslam has released 19 songs in 2018. Himesh Reshammiya composed the Romantic song "Dil Meri Na Sune" for film Genius. "O Saathi" from Baaghi 2 was written by Arko, "Paniyon Sa" from Satyameva Jayate, "Tere Liye" from Namaste England, and "Tera Hua" from Loveyatri were all big hits in the charts. He appeared in three reimagined songs, "Jab Koi Baat," "Dekhte Dekhte," for Batti Gul Meter Chalu, who reached "Chalte Chalt" for Mitron and released "Jab Koi Baat" on Batti Gul Meter Chalu's "official Asian music chart number one" and performed "Chalt Chalte" for Mitron. Other songs include "Sehmi Hai Dhadkan," three iterations of "Selfish" for Race 3 and two Laila songs by Irshad Kamil, as well as three songs "Momen" and "O Meri Laila" from Laila Majnu lyrics "Today" and "Laila."

Thaam Lo from Parwaaz Hai Junoon was also released in the same year, earning him the LUX Award for Best Playback Singer. On 2018 Defence Day, he performed "Humain Pyaar Hai Pakistan Se." In December 2018, "12 Bajay" was launched.

Hum Chaar's "Auliya" song was released in January 2019, composed by Vipin Patwa. "Baarishein" was released on February 13, 2019, a day before the 2019 Pulwama attack. He appeared at the 18th Lux Style Awards and performed "Mujhe Dil Se Na Bhulana" with Momina Mustehan as a salute to Bangladeshi-Pakistani actress Shabnam.

The Superstar film "In Dinon" and "Anjaana" were also released. Aslam and Abida Parveen also performed Pardadari, and Abida Parveen announced Pardadari.

In Season 12, Coke Studio debuted Aslam's songs. Mubarik Mubarik Mubarik Mubarik Mubarik, and Wohi Khuda Hai were among Aaye Kuch Abr, Wohi Khuda Hai's were released.

When Kinna Sona was first recorded by Aslam for the film Marjaavaan, it was a point of contention, but Jubin Nautiyal replaced it at the last minute. The song was a mix-and-match mixed case with heavy cues from Pakistani Sufi Islamic Qawwali music that was performed by NFAK. T-Series sung by Aslam on YouTube in June 2020, but the original cover was forced to be deleted and promptly released an apology following a crisis-laced campaign led by various right-wing Indian nationalist leaders and groups, including Maharashtra Navnirman Sena.

"Woh Mere Bin," Atif's ten-year-old record "Woh Mere Bin" was released in 2020. "Aik Naya Khaab," a Zong advertisement song, was performed by the singer.

In April 2020, he quoted Azaan shortly after Coke Studio launched Asma-ul-Husna in May 2020 as an act of humanity's resistance against the COVID-19 pandemic. It features voices from NASA, thirty three backing vocalists from around the world, and the sounds of Daf supervised by Hafiz Idrees, granting it the distinction of seeing 4 million views in just four days on YouTube, and over 50 million views as of December 2021. Atif Aslam worked for Infinix Mobile Zero 8. "Kadi Te Hans" by VELO Sound Station was released on November 20, 2020, with 2.5 million views in two days after its introduction.

Atif released the song "Raat," which was a poem by Munir Niazi, on February 26th, 2021. "Chale To Kat Hi Jayega," a tribute to Musarrat Nazir "Chale To Kat Hi Jayega," premiered on March 19th, 2021, receiving 14 million viewers in 3 days. Times Music released Atif's Unreleased Song "Jee Len De" from the Movie Romeo Akbar Walter (RAW), starring 'John Abraham" on May 26, 2021. On July 2021, Atif performed Rafta rafta. On the occasion of T-20 World Cup 2021, Coke Studio's 'Cricket Khidaiye'' with Faris Shafi and Talal Qureshi premiered on October 24th, 2021.' Acting career

Aslam made his acting debut in the 2011 Pakistani film Bol alongside Pakistani actress Mahira Khan. He made his television debut by a Pakistani show Sang-e-Mah (Urdu: ), transl. Moonstone (in January 2022) on HUM TV with tragic drama and romantic plot in which he played the leading role in Hilmand. After Sang-e-Mar Mar, Sang-e-Mah is the second instalment in the trilogy. It is written by Mustafa Afridi, directed by Saife Hassan, Hania Amir, Kubra Khan, Kubra Khan, Omair Rana, and Najiba Faiz.
