Faakhir Mehmood Life

Faakhir Mehmood (Urdu: ) is a Pakistani actor, singer, keyboradist, composer, and music arranger. He began his musical career with the Pakistani musical group Awaz. The band disbanded in 2000, but they all went to become solo artists due to conflicts of interest. Haroon, a well-known musician, was also a member of Awaz.

Early life and career

Faakhir studied at the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore. Haroon, a young singer, performed during his university years. They formed Awaz, a 1992 band together. Faakhir joined the band as a keyboardist and Asad Ahmed as a guitarist.

Faakhir began to work as a solo artist after the band's disbandement in 2000. Faakhir began working on his album Aatish in July 2000 by releasing his first single in August, a national song named "Dil Na Lagay, Pakistan." Faakhir began working on his debut album, Aatish, which was released in 2002, after deciding to go solo. In 2003 and 2005, he followed it up with Sub Tun Sohniyeh and Mantra.

"Jiya Na Jaye," a song in Mantra in which Faakhir performs a duet with Indian singer Sunidhi Chauhan. "Mahi Ve" - another track on the album, has received two awards at the Sangeet Natak Akademi Awards in India. He also performed at that charity.

In comparison to all parts of Pakistan, Faakhir's live shows have taken his music to many countries around the world, including the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Faakhir has appeared in Sukhbir and Stereo Nation, to name a few.

He was one of the few film producers on the soundtrack of Ho Mann Jahaan, a Pakistani film.

Faakhir was one of the six music directors for Coke Studio Pakistan's season 9. His first appearance was in an unplugged version of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's "Afreen Afreen." Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Momina Mustehsan performed their voices for the song. In "Dilruba Na Raazi" a Pashto folk song that he performed with Zeb Bangash, his second appearance at Coke Studio was in "Dilruba Na Raazi," a Pashto traditional folk song performed by the singer. He appeared on "Dil Kamla" with Natasha Khan and performed "Dil Kamla."

Faakhir Mehmood made some remarks on social issues that were newsworthy and were receiving media coverage by a major newspaper in Pakistan in 2017. Faakhir has served as the UN Goodwill Ambassador for the World Health Organization in the past.
