Acting career

Kapoor's first film work was as an assistant director on Nikhil Advani's Kal Ho Naa Ho in 2003. He also assisted Advani with the production of two of his father's films: A Tribute to Love (2006) and Wanted (2009). Kapoor was then signed to a three-film deal with Yash Raj Films, India's most prominent film company.

Kapoor would debut with Virus Diwan, a film produced under Yash Raj Films, which was postponed until sometime. Later, he joined Parineeti Chopra in a romantic drama that tells the tale of a Hindu and Muslim political couple. Kapoor had a spasm in his hamstring muscles while filming a running sequence in Barabanki, but he finished the scene after resting for five minutes. Ishaqzaade started a profitable venture worldwide, earning 670 million (US$8.4 million), and his work was lauded after winning the Zee Cine Award for Best Male Debut.

The action thriller Aurangzeb (2013), directed by Yash Raj Films, corresponds to the name of a Mughal emperor of the same name. It co-starred Jackie Shroff, Rishi Kapoor, and Amrita Singh, bringing two distant twin brothers Ajay and Vishal, who end up in each other's places as part of a massive plot to overthrowrown their biological father's empire. Rachna Saltz, a New York Times satisfaction with Kapoor's claim, claims he is "well-cast and matched" and is "a star of a previous generation." However, the film at the box office failed.

Kapoor appeared in Yash Raj Films for the third time in a row on Gunday, a crime drama starring Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra. Ali Abbas Zafar's film itineraries showed two bandits with a fresh attitude, in love with a dancer (Chopra). He characterized his image as "temperamental" who appears as a "moment's heat." In Mohit Suri's "Ek Villain Returns" and a Hindi translation of Tamil film Comali, Arjun will be seen.
