Andrea K. Brooks (born March 3, 1989) is a Canadian actress and model best known for her role as Faith Carter on the Hallmark film When Calls the Heart and Eve Teschmacher in The CW series Supergirl.
Early life
Brooks, who was born in Brantford, Ontario, received a degree in figure skating, dancing, and musical theatre from an early age. She auditioned for the Disney film Ice Princess at the age of fifteen. She missed out on the role but gained an agent. She obtained a BA in English Literature and Film Studies as well as an MA in Film Studies from the University of British Columbia. She can also speak fluent French.

Brooks gave birth to her first child, a girl, on November 30, 2019.
Career
Brooks' big break came in 2015 when she was cast in the role of Nurse Faith Carter in the second season of Hallmark's When Calls the Heart. Her character received mixed audience feedback mainly due to the danger she posed to Mountie Jack Thornton's (Daniel Lissing) and instructor Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow). She remained a series regular from season three. The series was revived for tenth season on June 17, 2022.
When it was revived for a second season in 2016, Brooks joined the cast of Supergirl. Maggie Sawyer first auditioned for the role, but she later revealed that she did not feel that the role was a "good match." She was then given a new script to audition for Janice's role. Given that she had won the role, it was not until she got her first episode script that she discovered she would be playing Eve Teschmacher. For the fifth season of the series, she was voted into the main cast.
Brooks appeared in Christie Will's latest film Wish for Christmas, a Hallmark television film that Brooks had previously worked with in the 2006 short film Dysfunction.
In the Hallmark original television film Destination Wedding, opposite Rafael Simon, it was shown in June 2017 as part of the channel's June Weddings collection. Brooks appeared in Mandy Hamilton's lead role.
