Andrea Anders (born May 10, 1975) is an American actress best known for her appearances in NBC sitcom Joey, Nicole Allen in the CBS sitcom The Class, and Linda Zwordling in ABC's ABC sitcom Better Off Ted.

Early life

Anders was born in Madison, Wisconsin, and now lives in Los Angeles. She graduated from DeForest Area High School in DeForest, Wisconsin, in 1993, and earned a bachelor's degree in fine arts from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 1997. She received a Master of Fine Arts from Rutgers University in 2001.

Sean Anders, her brother, is a writer.

Career

Anders began her career in theatre in 2001. She appeared in Proof on Broadway and later in The Graduate as Mary-Louise Parker, and later in The Graduate. She appeared on On the Jump at the Arena Stage, New Doors at the Guthrie Theater, and two New York Stage & Film productions: Cold/Tender and New World Rhapsody.

Anders debuted in Fat Pig's Geffen Playhouse performance in May 2007. She appeared on Jeannie, an accountant. Fat Pig was canned on July 1, 2007.

A commercial for Dannon ran in the 1990s and then again in 2006.

Emily Hoyt, a teen Emily Hoyt, appeared on Law and Order "The Fire This Time" as a teenager.

Anders is best known for her appearances on Joey as an advocate and on the ensemble situation comedy The Class as Nicole Allen (née Campbell), an ex-football player's wife. She appeared in all episodes of Joey and The Class. Both shows were soon cancelled.

Anders has appeared on One Life to Live, Law & Order, Guiding Light, and Tru Calling. Donna Degenhart appeared in five episodes of HBO's Oz in 2003 and made a small role in the 2004 film The Stepford Wives, playing Heather. Anders appeared on Numb3rs in 2008.

Anders appeared in two failed television pilots, Spellbound and News to Me. Anders appeared on Better Off Ted, a single-camera workplace satirical comedy written by Victor Fresco for ABC in 2009.

Anders co-starred in the television series Mr. Sunshine with creator Matthew Perry in 2011. The comedy was picked up by ABC as a midseason replacement for the 2010–11 television season. ABC's This series ended in May 2011.

Anders appeared briefly in the 2011 music video "Reality of the Nerds," a rap song performed by her former Better Off Ted co-star Malcolm Barrett under the stage name "Verbal." The video includes all of the other key characters from the Better Off Ted series of cameos, either as their TV characters or, in the case of Anders, as new characters.
