Ammy Virk Career

Career

Virk began his film career with Angrej, a production of Rhythm Boyz Entertainment that was released in 2015. He played Haakam, which portrays a negative role. “Angrej is also the ground for singer Ammy Virk, who opens his innings here,” says Journalist Jasmine Singh. If it was just looks, the singer receives a five on five; in terms of dialogue, there's still more work to be done. All the same, he makes his character look and sound realistic. In addition, he was named Best Debut Actor Award at PTC Punjabi Film Awards for his work in the film.

Gippy Grewal's second film Ardaas was released in 2016. Agyapal Singh (Aasi) was cast in the film. "It's exciting to see how the film's supporting actors turn up good performances," Divya Pal of News18 said. “[...] Ammy Virk has improved so much, he was like a good theatre performer,” Uttam Teshan said. [...] [b] His film Bambukat was released in July as his second collaboration with Rhythm Boyz Entertainment, which was released later in July. Pankaj Batra helmed the film, which was Virk's first film as a lead actor. "Ammy Virk is a revelation," BookMyShow's Gurlove Singh said. He has demonstrated that he chooses his scripts with care. [...] In Bambukat, he packs a punch. He has definitely developed as an actor. He is unsurpassed in emotional situations. "Your heart goes out to Channan, and that's just because of Ammy Virk's good portrayal." "There's no denying the fact that Ammy Virk is the center and soul of Saab Bahadar," Gurlove Singh said. With his spellbinding performance, he is playing the titular role and has introduced us to a new brand of cop. He portrays his image with earnestness and authenticity. In every frame and charge, he is superb in every frame and charges more convincingly through the film. Saab Bahadar's portrayal has emphasised the fact that he is one of Punjabi film industry's most sought-after actors.' The film had been praised critically, but it wasn't very well-doned financially.

In September 2017, his film Nikka Zaildar 2 sequel to Nikka Zaildar was released. The film was shot in bygone era and Box Office India declared HIT on its release. "Actor-singer Ammy Virk melts into his character," The Tribune's Jasmine Singh said, "as in Nikka Zaildar, he melts into his person." Ammy is only growing as an artist, with a string of hits to his name. He has a bang on comedic timing, and the same can be said about his emotional scenes. Satis Akaal England was released later in December. Major German Singh Mann appeared in the film Virk. Although the film was not technically and commercially profitable, Virk's contribution was greatly lauded. He began Laung Lachie in 2018 with a sarcastic supporting role for Ajaypal Singh. Amberdeep Singh wrote and directed the film, but also starred in the film as a lead actor. The film was commercially successful and also one of the highest-grossing Punjabi films of 2018. Harjeeta was released in May later this year. Harjeet Singh, a hockey player who played for India's national team and captured the World Cup, was the subject of the film. "It's impossible not to notice the actor's hard work, whether it is adopting the authentic Tuli's youthful appearance, his demeanor, and his style," Jasmine Singh of The Tribune applauded. Ammy gives a Gold medal-winning show. Ammy has adapted to the style of chalk and cheese."

Qismat was first introduced in September. The film was named after a song was performed by himself only because of the similarity in lead cast, crew, and emotions. Jagdeep Sidhu wrote and directed the film. In the film Virk, she played Shivjit Singh Gill opposite Sargun Mehta. "Qismat belongs to Ammy Virk and Sargun Mehta," BookMyShow's Gurlove Singh said. They are the movie's heart and soul. Both actors give equally strong, well-balanced, and transcendent performances. With their on-screen chemistry, you will not help but fall in love. During those two hours, they make you smile and cry a number of times. Anybody else portraying Shivjit and Bani's roles is impossible." “Ammy Virk and Sargun Mehta have a positive on-screen chemistry,” says journalist Jasmine Singh of The Tribune, who also lauded lead actors. Ammy, a writer who lives in London, makes every word possible in real life. He is a natural comedian who makes the audience laugh, cry, and now believe in true love."
