The Stanley Cup Finals will be decided between an underdog Florida Panthers squad and a tenacious Vegas Golden Knights squad

Many hockey fans were not expecting a second all-Sun Belt Stanley Cup Final in NHL history. Boston was the best regular season squad in the league's history going into the playoffs. They were knocked out by the worst team that made it in. Canada wished that they would win their first Stanley Cup since 1993. Rather, the Jets were quickly dismissed and the Maple Leafs and Oilers' star power was snuffed out.
PLAYOFF ROUNDUP: The Panthers are baffled when taking the lead in a 2-0 series

Consider the Toronto Maple Leafs as the most complete NHL elite to be completely confounded by the eighth-seeded Florida Panthers. The Panthers defeated the Leafs 3-2 in Toronto on Thursday, giving them a 2-0 series lead in the Eastern Conference semifinals following their first-round upset of the top-seeded Boston Bruins. Sheldon Keefe, the Leafs' head coach, was particularly worried about the Panthers' second-period results, in which the Panthers scored two unanswered goals. 'Disappointing' Keefe said, 'Baffling.' We didn't make those mistakes one time in the last series [first round against Tampa].'
PLAYOFF ROUNDUP: The Bruins beat the Panthers 4-2 in Florida, ending an emotional loss to them

Any concerns regarding the top-seeded Boston Bruins' readiness for the postseason were apparently answered in Sunrise, Florida, on Friday night. Taylor Hall had a goal and an assist, Linus Ullmark stopped 28 shots, and the Bruins defeated the Panthers 4-2 in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference first-round series on Friday night, following their upset loss to the Panthers in Game 2 on Friday night. Charlie Coyle, David Pastrnak, and Nick Foligno all had aims for Boston, who regained home-ice advantage and took a 2-1 lead in the series. Dmitry Orlov had two long outlet passes that later became Bruins assistants. Alex Lyon shot out 23 of 26 shots for Florida, the Pastrnak goal with 11:28 people chasing him and Florida sending Sergei Bobrovsky. And that means the Panthers will have to make a big decision before Game 4 in Sunrise on Sunday afternoon.
