Aftab Shivdasani (born 25 June 1978) is an Indian film actor, director, and model best known for his Bollywood appearances.

Shivdasani was chosen as the Farex baby at the age of 14 months and appeared in several television commercials.

Personal life

Shivdasani was born in Mumbai in a Sindhi Hindu family to Prem and Putli Shivdasani. His mother, who is an Irani Zoroastrian, is a niacis, a narcotic. He attended St. Xavier's High School (Fort) in Mumbai, which is located in Lokamanya Tilak Marg. He then graduated from H.R.College of Commerce in Mumbai. In 2012, he was introduced to Nin Dusanj, a London-based Punjabi who grew up in London and then moved to Hong Kong, where he spent time in Asia in the advertisement and luxury branding industries. He married Nin Dusanj on June 5th, 2014, at a private party attended solely by both of their families.

At the age of 14 months, Shivdasani was chosen as the Farex baby (baby food brand) and appeared in numerous television commercials from that time. He made his Bollywood debut as a child actor in Mr. India (1987), then appeared in films including Awwal Number, Shahenshah, ChaalBaaz, and Insaniyat. In the 1988 film 'Shahenshah', he appeared as Inspector Vijaykumar Srivastav, who would later be played by Amitabh Bachchan for the remainder of the film.

When he was first drafted in director Ram Gopal Varma's Mast opposite Urmila Matondkar while still attending H.R., Shivdasani continued to work in commercials until the age of 19. College. In Mast, Shivdasani made his debut as an adult opposite Matondkar. Shivdasani's first two films, Coi Mere Dil Se Poochhe opposite debutant Esha Deol, was a failure, but Kya Yehi Pyaar Hai opposite Ameesha Patel was very popular at the box office in 2002. Rajkumar Kohli's multi-starrer supernatural horror Jaani Dushman: It was a tragedy that was his third release of the year. In 2007, and 2008, Shivdasani found some success with multi-starrer films.

Shivdasani appeared in Aao Wish Karein, his first film to be released under his production company, Rising Sun Entertainment. He co-wrote the script and also played Mickey, the lead character. Shivdasani appeared in Acid Factory the same year. In 2011, Shivdasani appeared in the comedy film Bin Bulaye Baraati opposite Priyanka Kothari. In 2012, Shivdasani's next film release was The Evil Returns, in which he appeared in the lead role opposite Twinkle Bajpai. His latest film, Grand Masti, a sequel to the 2004 blockbuster Masti, was also a huge success, despite the original grossing over $100 crores at the box office. Aftab appeared in part 3 of the hit franchise Kyaa Kool Hai Hum in January 2016, where the film, alongside Tusshar Kapoor, was a hit at the box office. Great Grand Masti, the third installment of the super hit Masti series, was announced in July 2016.
