Zanjoe Acuesta Marudo (born July 23, 1982) is a Filipino actor and actress.
He began his career after finishing as the 4th Big Brother of Pinoy's Celebrity Edition 1 (2006).
Since then, he has appeared in the television series Lovers in Paris (2009). Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Kristine (2010), Annaliza (2013), Dream Dad (2014), Tubig at Langis (2016) and My Dear Heart (2017). In addition to his television appearances, he is also known for his appearances in films such as You Got Me! Early life
Marudo was born in Bilogbilog, Tanauan, Batangas. Zósimo Lumbres Marudo, his father, hails from Batangas, while Rosanna Acuesta, his mother, is a native of Calauag, Quezon. He is the third of their five children.
He competed in the basketball varsity team from elementary school to high school, owing to his brother Zandro's influence. He was a student at San Sebastian College Staglets and competed in the NCAA.
Career
Body Shots, a modeling competition, took home the first runner-up trophy. He appeared on Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Edition, finishing in fourth place with actors John Prats, Bianca Gonzalez, and Keana Reeves. He then signed his acting contract with ABS-CBN.
After high school, Marudo became a model. He appeared in the Bench Fever fashion preview. Marudo is one of the 10 centerfold men in the "Cosmopolitan 69 Bachelors and 10 Centerfolds" supplement in Philippine Cosmopolitan Magazine (September 2006 issue).
Marudo was with ABS-CBN's comedy program Aalog-Alog (Jiggling) with Pinoy Big Brother's John Prats, Keanna Reeves, and Pinoy Big Brother runner-up Jason Gainza as Super Is law, and was in the fantasy series Super Inggo as Super Is law. He appeared in Maricel Soriano's Florinda (TV series).
Marudo resigned from Bench in January 2011 (after the Christmas and New Year holidays), following his decision not to renew his contract due to busy commitments.
