Acting career
He appeared in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in 2005. Gilford appeared in Friday Night Lights in which he appeared as Matt Saracen in the main cast from Season 1 to Season 3. Gilford was added to the recurring cast of Seasons 4 and 5. He made his feature film debut in The Last Winter (2006) while co-starring.
