Kenneth Edward Bailey (born March 28, 1986), better known by his stage name Young Scooter, is an American rapper who is affiliated with Freebandz and 1017 Brick Squad Records, as well as CEO of his own label Black Migo Gang.
Scooter became well-known in 2012 after releasing a number of hit mixtapes and collaborating with artists like Gucci Mane, Future, Waka Flocka Flame, and Chief Keef.

Life and career
Scooter was born in Walterboro, South Carolina. When he was nine years old, his family moved to the Kirkwood Community (a.k.a.). Lil Mexico (Mexico) of Atlanta, Georgia. He began working in music in 2008 after being charged with drug trafficking. Scooter is a childhood friend of fellow Atlanta rapper Future.
Although his first mixtape Plug Talkin attracted no attention, with his second debut, Finessin and Flexin', he made a name for himself by collaborating with Future. In 2012, Scooter released two more mixtapes, Married to the Streets and Voice of the Streetz, which featured performances from Zaytoven, DJ Spinz, Nard & B, Da Honorable C.N.O.T.E. Gucci Mane and Alley Boy's guest verses are included in this series.
Scooter's real breakthrough came in January 2013, when he revealed his mixtape Street Lottery. SPIN dubbed it "the week's best mixtapes of January" and XXL included it on its "Best mixtapes of January" list. Scooter, Eric Diep of XXL, "one of the hottest street rappers to come out of Atlanta," he wrote, "Colombia" and "Street Lottery" (featuring Bun B) are "proof of his undeniable talent." On DatPiff, the tape was also a viral hit, with over 100,000 downloads. On January 31, the official video for "Colombia," directed by Decatur Dan, premiered on MTV. The song became a hit in the south, especially in Scooter's hometown Atlanta. SPIN's Brandon Soderberg described it as a blend of Rick Ross' "Hustlin'" and Future's "Tony Montana" in a nutshell. A official remix starring rappers Rick Ross, Birdman, and Gucci Mane was released by the end of the month. Lil Wayne was also interviewed for his mixtape Dedication 5. OnSmash's latest success caused him to state, "the buzz for Scooter is at an all-time high." Scooter was arrested on April 8 for breach of parole.
On February 28, 2013, Scooter's collaboration mixtape with Gucci Mane Free Bricks 2 was announced. Young Scooter released his mixtape From The Cell Block To Your Block on August 29, 2013, starring guest appearances from Future, Gucci Mane, Wale, YG, Lil Boosie, Webbie, and Lil Phat, among other things.
