Xxxtentacion Life

Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy (January 23, 1998 – June 18, 2018), also known as XXTentacion, was an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and guitarist.

XXTentacion, although a controversial figure in the music industry, has been criticized for his lack of a "strong musical footprint" due to his impact on his youth fanbase and his fame during his brief career.

He was often praised by critics and fans for his musical dynamism, with his band specifically investigating trap, R&B, rock, and emo.Born. XXTentacion spent the majority of his childhood in Lauderhill, Florida.

He started writing music after being released from a youth detention center and started his music career on SoundCloud in 2013, where he soon became a popular figure in SoundCloud rap, lo-fi music, and brutal 808s.

With the single "Look at Me," XXTentacion came to mainstream prominence.

His debut album, 17 (2017), debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 and his second album,? The Billboard 200's most popular position on the Billboard 200 premiered at number one.

Both albums have been named Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

"Sad!" was the XXTentacion's highest-charting single in the week after his death. "From number 52 to number one on the Billboard Hot 100, making him the first artist to top the Billboard Hot 100 in posthumously since 1997.

XXXTentacion, a 20-year-old robbery at a motorcycle dealership in Deerfield Beach, Florida, was fatally shot on June 18, 2018.

The criminals fled the scene in an SUV after stealing a Louis Vuitton bag containing $50,000 from him; four suspects were arrested and are now awaiting trial;

Early life

Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy was born in Plantation, Florida, to Jamaican parents Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy and Cleopatra Eretha Bernard. His father named him for the Bob Marley song "So Jah Seh," which interpolates Ezekiel 34. Both Onfroy's father and grandfather were Rastafarians. Onfroy was born with a ventricular septal defect, also known as a "hole in the heart." He never grew taller than 5 foot 6 inches due to his illness. In an interview on The Beat in 2017, Onfroy said he had Egyptian, Syrian, Indian, and possibly Italian roots.

Onfroy was mainly raised by his grandmother Collette Jones (due to his mother's personal challenges) and Lauderhill, Florida. Onfroy was reportedly stabbed a man attempting to hurt his mother, and was eventually placed in a youth program before living with his grandmother. According to a source close to the Onfroy family, the suspected stabbing incident occurred but it could not be corroborated by police reports, since Onfroy was a juvenile. Onfroy was a boy when he discovered his uncle's body after the man committed suicide by hanging. Onfroy referred to his injury from a series of songs. Onfroy denied that he had been sexually assaulted by an unidentified adult when he was a boy. According to Onfroy's mother, he was routinely battered by his father as a child; Onfroy's father assaulted her repeatedly in Onfroy's front. After the Drug Enforcement Administration arranged a sting operation in Arizona, Onfroy's father was sentenced to nine years in prison for RICO offenses in early 2008. Onfroy's father was released from BOP detention on October 30, 2015, and deported to Jamaica in late 2016.

Onfroy's musical journey began when his aunt encouraged him to join school choir and later church choir. After beating another student, he was quickly kicked out of the school choir. Onfroy attended Margate Middle School, but after a string of physical injuries, he was eventually suspended. He was then enrolled in Sheridan House Family Ministries by his mother, who had been inactive for over six months. During his time at Sheridan House Family Ministries, Onfroy learned how to play the piano and guitar, which culminated in him learning how to play the piano and guitar.

Onfroy attended Piper High School until he was disqualified in the tenth grade. During that time, he characterized himself as a "misfit," citing how quiet he was despite being popular and regularly involved in physical confrontations. Onfroy was diagnosed with bipolar disorder as an infant. Onfroy was not athletic, and he said he was worried and depressed during his time in high school.

Personal life

Onfroy had two half siblings: an older sister named Ariana and a younger brother named Aiden. Onfroy worked in Florida with rapper Denzel Curry and producer Ronny J in the past. Onfroy was renovating a 6,000-square-foot (560 m2) mansion in Parkland, which he purchased in November 2017 for US$1.4 million. Onfroy and his partner Jenesis Sanchez lived together at the time of his death. The couple had three cats and two dogs when they were married.

Onfroy had worked with a number of rappers and musicians, including Ski Mask the Slump God, Lil Uzi Vert, PnB Rock, Denzel Curry, Lil Yachty, Trippie Redd, Juice Wrld, and Billie Eilish. Billie Eilish said in an interview that Onfroy was able to inform her out of a plot to end her own life.

Trippie Redd, a fellow emo rapper, had briefly ceased his involvement with Onfroy until the details of the charges against Onfroy were revealed. Onfroy said at a concert that he understood why Trippie Redd did not want to associate with him, adding, "Not that long ago I was a piece of shit." I will tell you all that I was a piece of shit people, bro. And I can admit it, bro. I wasn't a good person to begin with. However, I've been doing my best to transform myself." Onfroy said that he still thinks Trippie Redd is a "brill artist" and went on to perform their song "Fuck Love" on Friday. Trippie Redd accepted his apology and posted on Instagram, "It takes a real man to speak on shit and truly apologize for their behavior." I've also apologised for anything I've said about you."

Onfroy revealed on Instagram in February that he was returning to school. According to his death certificate, he said he was going to a community college to get his GED in March 2018. Onfroy was outspoken about his bout with depression.

Onfroy met Geneva Ayala in November 2014. Onfroy and Onfroy told Ayala that he wanted to fight her boyfriend after her boyfriend had reportedly posted scantily clad photos of her without her permission, but there was no confrontation, though no one interfered. The at-time boyfriend in Ayala screamed and slapped her during breakdowns she suffered, although he admitted to slapping her back to "snap her out of it" regularly. When she was 16 years old, Ayala's mother was kicked out when she was 16, and she hadn't been living with her at-time boyfriend until they broke up. Ayala and his roommates were moved in 2016 with Onfroy and his classmates.

Geneva Ayala, Onfroy's ex-girlfriend, had suspected Onfroy of domestic assault. According to Ayala's account, Onfroy beat her at times, choked her, cut out her clothes hangers, threatened to chop off her hair, pulled out her tongue, pressed knives or scissors to her head, and threatened to drown her head in the toilet while promising to drown her. Ayala says, "His favorite thing was to just backhand my mouth." "I always had welts inside my lips."

According to reports, Onfroy slapped Ayala and broke her iPhone 6S because she had complimented a male friend on his new jewelry. The phone was restored by Onfroy later. Ayala said Onfroy begged her which object she wanted her to force into her vagina, whether it was a long-handled barbecue fork or a wire barbecue wood, she told her to undress. She said Onfroy was lightly pulling the blade against her inner thigh as she walked out; he didn't penetrate her with it. Onfroy apologised profusely for the incident after Ayala awakened, according to Ayala. Ayala began a GoFundMe page after the alleged incidents, claiming she needed surgery for her left eye. Onfroy contributed $5,000, out of a total of $32,000. GoFundMe temporarily suspended the fundraiser due to suspicion of dishonesty. It was never said if Ayala had the surgery performed.

Onfroy maintained his innocence right until his death. Onfroy would often shame her with near-attempts of suicide, according to Ayala. Ayala said he used to fill a bathtub with water, then fetch the microwave and dangle it over, afraid to let go. After finding that Ayala had cheated on him during his time in jail, he reportedly dangled himself from a 12th-story balcony by his legs and threatened suicide once more. Ayala said in response to Onfroy's allegations against Onfroy, "it's disgusting that people are speaking for me." "Did y'all know him?" Ayala posted on her Instagram account, responding to those who mocked her for mourning Onfroy after his son's death. No, y'all did not. I knew who the fuck he was from but I was still fucking for him. I lost someone very close to me, and I can't feel sorry for whatever the fuck I'm talking about."

Both Onfroy and Ayala roommates talk about Onfroy's remorse after the suspected events, and Onfroy says he "badly wanted to control his anger." Onfroy was pictured as limping to his knees and heeping, and begging for his behavior to change. According to some psychologists, Onfroy may have suffered from an attachment disorder that resulted from his mother and father's absence during childhood, making him prone to violent outbursts. After being diagnosed as an infant, Onfroy was re-diagnosed with bipolar disorder as an adult. By the time of his death, Onfroy had been seeing a therapist and started taking medications.

On New Year's Eve, 2017, Onfroy began a friendship with Jenesis Sanchez, which developed into a domestic partnership. Sanchez said that Onfroy's behavior in controlling his anger had changed and that if an argument erupted, he would simply walk away rather than ever being physical. Onfroy began claiming that he remembered his deceased companion, Jocelyn Flores, as his "guardian angel" and that it helped him make better decisions in his personal life. Onfroy's mother revealed on Instagram that Sanchez was pregnant with his child three days after his death. Onfroy was notified three weeks before he died, Sanchez said in an interview. The baby was declared to be a boy on August 22, 2018, and was born on January 26, 2019, three days after what would have been his father's 21st birthday.

Onfroy's mother filed to block the test just a few weeks after Sanchez ordered Onfroy's DNA samples to establish her son's paternity. Onfroy's mother kept her court records in opposition, so it's unclear why she opposes a paternity examination. Any fans suspect it has something to do with her financial interest in Onfroy's estate. Sanchez prevailed in the court contest on May 15, 2019, and a Florida judge was given access to a DNA sample from Onfroy.

Onfroy, a Christian, had a keen interest in the occult. Tarpley Hitt, a Miami New Times journalist who conducted one of few mainstream media interviews, said that he spent the bulk of the two-hour chat discussing whether or not he answered questions about his childhood or criminal convictions. Housemates from his time as Pornographic actor Bruno Dickemz recalled that he owned a series of books on occult and attended rituals. Geneva Ayala, his former husband, pretended to be demonically possessed as a way to freak him out of their turbulent marriage, but it turned into a fascination for him. Rudolf Steiner, a Austrian philosopher, inspired him with his anthropology and its consciousness teachings.

Onfroy's XXL Freshman Cypher and his single "I Spoke to the Devil" in Miami, he said "everything will be fine," Onfroy said about selling his soul to Satan; when asked by DJ Akademiks, he refused to answer, afraid that he might encourage "kids going down the dark road." Onfroy also addresses a revenge obsession against Jesus and God for allowing atrocities in the world, while remaining skeptical about God's existence. Onfroy, in particular, is seeking revenge against God for his uncle's mental torture. When Onfroy was a child, his uncle committed suicide by hanging.

Onfroy believed in reincarnation, depicting death and rebirth as an end for those people who live a life without hurting others; he believes he failed in this due to his violence. He was attracted by the New Age's notion of Indigo children, which may have accounted for his attraction to the color blue in the last months of his life.

Xxxtentacion Career

Career

Onfroy's career as a musician began in June 2013 following the introduction of his album "News/Flock." During detention for firearms possession charges, he talked with Stokeley Goulbourne, another artist named Ski Mask the Slump God. According to some reports surveyed for a 2020 biography, the pair met at high school. Onfroy and Goulbourne became good friends and began freestyling. Onfroy, who was recalling his time in detention, said he was kind to the officers and workers and protected prisoners from other prisoners, including a gay cellmate, who Onfroy later chastised for allegedly attacking him when changing clothes. Onfroy said the incident had nothing to do with the prisoner's sexual orientation, that he supported gay rights, and that he was not homophobic.

Following his release from a juvenile detention facility, he and Goulbourne met up again in 2013 in the hopes of a string of home invasions for financial gain, but Onfroy bought a Blue Snowball microphone and began recording music, which caused Goulbourne to do the same. "Vice City," Onfroy's first non-deleted song, "Vice City," was posted on SoundCloud after Onfroy adopted the moniker XXTentacion.
