Early life

Rasuk was born in New York City to Dominican parents. His mother worked as a seamstress and his father worked at an auto shop. He has one brother, actor Silvestre Rasuk, with whom he appeared in Raising Victor Vargas. Rasuk attended performing arts school as an adolescent and began acting at 14 years old.

Career

In the Peter Sollett-directed short film Five Feet High and Rising, Rasuk performed his first film role. Sollett suggested converting the short film into a full-length film, winning Rasuk a nomination for Best Debut Performance at the 19th Independent Spirit Awards two years later. He played Roc in his forthcoming film, Rock Steady. He appeared in Haven two years ago and played a key role.

In the 2005 biographical drama film Lords of Dogtown, Rasuk portrayed skateboarder Tony Alva. The course was divided into surfing and performing skateboarding tricks. Despite the fact that stuntmen were more complex, Rasuk is a method actor who was able to remain in character both on and off screen, and he was a method actor. He fractured one of his orbital bones in only his second week of training, despite believing he had mastered skating a massive ramp in just his second week of preparation.
