Born in Aulnay-Sous-Bois, Seine-Saint-Denis, France, he studied at Lycée privé catholique l'Espérance, where he obtained a Baccalauréat S (Sciences). He then specialised in medicine for a semester before transferring to Mathematics/Information, receiving a license. He also studied audio engineering.
At the age of 17, he began rapping. In 2012, he introduced NQNTMQMQMB (Ni Queue Mais Qui Met Quand Même Bien), which was followed by another mixtape Cours de rattrapage. Both were re-edited in 2016 as a double CD that was sold on his website. He released his debut EP NQNT (Ni Queue Ni Tête) with a music video on October 27, 2014, Bonjour, finding success. On September 25, 2015, EP NQNT 2 was announced, which was followed by the introduction of EP NQNT 2. He recorded his debut album Agartha on Mezoued Records & Suther Kane Films, as well as on Millenium, Capitol, Universal; the album received a platinum award in France on January 20. The EP project NQNT 3 was delayed due to a lack of song information. Vald's second album XEU, which features performances with rappers Sirius, Suik'on Blaz AD, and Sofiane, received a double platinum award on February 2nd. In September 2018, the mixtape NQNT33 was followed by the mixtape NQNT33. Ce monde est cruel is cruel, he recorded his third album in October 2019.
Personal life
Vald is a descendant of Breton descent, according to his father. In an interview with radio station Mouv', he said he has a son named Charles, who was born in 2014.
