UrwaTul Wusqua Hussain, better known by her stage name Urwa Hocane (born 2 July 1991), is a Pakistani actress, model, and media presenter. Rukhsana was her first appearance with Khushboo Ka Ghar as Rukhsana in 2012. Hocane is best known for her portrayal of Meera in Udaari, which earned her Hum Awards for Best On-screen Couple and Best Actress Popular with Farhan Saeed and a nomination in Hum Awards for Best Actress Popular. Early life and career
Hocane was born in Karachi but she grew up in Islamabad, where she earned her degree from Bahria College, Islamabad. Mawra Hocane, a television actress, is the sister of another television actress Mawra Hocane. She performed as an actress as an adolescent before starting as a VJ for ARY Musik. When Urwa began her career she adopted the name Hocane as a mark of filial commitment to her younger sibling Mawra.
Career
Hocane made her acting debut in Meri Ladli's 2012 romantic drama alongside Ahsan Khan and Sajal Ali. She appeared in serials such as Kahi Un Kahi and Madiha Maliha. In Marasim, her portrayal of a girl exposed to family tensions and a forced wedding.
Fahad Mustafa, Mohsin Abbas Haider, and Javed Sheikh appeared in the 2014 romantic comedy Na Maloom Afraad. The film received largely favorable feedback, and she was praised for her role.
