Maisie Williams Debuts a Spiky Micro Fringe, a.k.a. Lydia Deetz of PFW's "Beetlejuice" has a Spiky Micro Fringe

www.popsugar.co.uk, January 24, 2023
Maisie Williams styled her hair for Paris Fashion Week, taking inspiration from Lydia Deetz of "Beetlejuice" to style her hair. While attending the Christian Dior haute couture spring/summer 2023 exhibition, the "Pistol" actress premiered a spiky set of micro bangs on Jan. 23. Williams let Tim Burton's original goth heroine inspire her appearance, like TikTok users who took inspiration from Addams' experimentation on Wednesday with edgier makeup and darker fashion styles. "Very Parisienne" hairstylist Yumiko Hikage captioned a behind-the-scenes video of Williams getting ready for the day on her Instagram Stories. Helene Vasnier, Williams' makeup artist, applied thick mascara, bold eyeliner, and a pair of swooping lashes for her face. Vasnier added a second dot to each of Williams' eyelids as a finishing touch. The Parisienne mime-inspired makeup, Lydia Deetz-esque ensemble, and a "Nightmare Before Christmas" style dress were designed to complement a subtly avant-garde look.

For Season 2, Netflix has officially resnared "Wednesday."

Get ready, lovers of all things spooky: For a second season, "Wednesday" has been officially renewed. On January 6, Netflix revealed the news on a short teaser with a video of Jenna Ortega as the titular Wednesday, as well as scenes from the show and a video of fan gatherings. Lady Gaga's "Bloody Mary" was also used as the clip's soundtrack, a song that would have been popular on TikTok since being associated with the show on TikTok. In the clip, Netflix announced that "the global phenomenon will return for season two." More torture is coming. You're in luck. pic.twitter.com/t11LptFk7e.jpg www.twitter.com/t11LptFk7e.jpg

"Wednesday" Gwendoline Christie For the First Time

www.popsugar.co.uk, December 1, 2022
Tim Burton's "Wednesday" set for Gwendoline Christie was something different. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly on Nov. 24, Larissa Weems, the "Game of Thrones" actress, was essentially the first time she's felt "beautiful" on film. She attributed this transformative experience in large part to Burton, who collaborated with Christie, in order to express her character as she saw fit. "You should do whatever you like with the story, feel free to make it whatever you please, and we'll keep hearing about it," Christie said. "Larissa Weems was always a student who went to a school for outcasts, and she was always in [Catherine Zeta-Jones] shadow," Christie continued. She landed on the possibility of an old-school "screen siren," fantasizing classic Hollywood glamour, as well as old Hitchcock films to see how the characters performed themselves. Christie said, "this was the first thing that came to me," Christie said. "Even more curiously, Tim had exactly the same idea, and Colleen Atwood had the same idea."
