Suniel Shetty (born 11 August 1961) is an Indian film actor, producer, and entrepreneur who works in Bollywood, Malayalam, Kannada, and Marathi film Industries.

He has appeared in more than 110 films in his more than 25 years.

His most notable films have been action and comedy films.

Besides Akshay Kumar, he is regarded as India's best action hero.

His way of doing action has influenced actors from all around India, whether it be in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, or other language film industries.

Personal life

He has been married to Mana Shetty (née Monisha Kadri), a businesswoman, designer, and social activist born in Gujarat, India, and a Punjabi Hindu social activist, and they have two children, Athiya Shetty and her son Ahan Shetty, who was born in 1991.

Both Athiya and Ahan have made their acting debuts, Athiya in the film Hero (2015) and Ahan in Sajid Nadiadwala's film Tadap (2021), the Hindi translation of Telugu film RX 100. Mana is the head of an NGO for children under the age of 18.

Shetty has a black belt in kickboxing. He runs clothing boutiques as well as restaurants specialising in Udupi cuisine.

At the age of 31, he made his debut in Hindi films in 1992, opposite Divya Bharti. He was able to keep his role as an action hero in Bollywood thanks to the film.
