REVEALED: Kevin McCarthy was responsible for Nancy Pelosi's dismissal of her office, so he could step in, as Republicans demand revenge on Democrats who say they are to blame for her dismissal

www.dailymail.co.uk, October 4, 2023
According to a recent report published Wednesday, Kevin McCarthy was responsible for Nancy Pelosi's dismissal from her private office in the Capitol because he wanted it for his own use. Pelosi and Steny Hoyer, a former Democratic governor and well-liked member of Congress, were evicted from their Capitol offices by Republican Speaker Pro Temp Patrick McHenry, in what was seen as an act of revenge. But CNN revealed that McCarthy was really behind the order. He and McHenry are close allies. It was McCarthy who made sure his friend was selected to the top leadership position in the House by naming him speaker pro tempo if anything should happen to McCarthy.

Following McCarthy's dismissal of Democrats, Republicans have reacted positively on Democrats: A new top official has been kicked out of his office, according to the Speaker's office's sign

House Republicans have begun to punish Democrats for helping to depose Kevin McCarthy as Speaker by kicking top members of the party out of the Capitol's private chambers. On Wednesday morning, Steny Hoyer, the former Democratic leader who is widely admired and respected in his party, lost his seat in the Capitol, the morning after Republicans kicked Nancy Pelosi out of her digs. Rep. Annie Kuster of New Hampshire referred to the change as 'petty.'

According to McCarthy, the House will investigate gun control

"We need to have a conversation as a nation, address mental illness, and figure out what motivates people to shoot innocent children," McCarthy said. "I don't think one piece of legislation will solve this." We'll look and getting all the details, but there's nothing we can do better,' the speaker said. 'We're here today, and it won't just be a bill... We have to have a lengthy chat here with this country.' Meanwhile, Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries revealed that 'passions are high' on gun reform after one of his rank-and-file members got into a squabble with a pro-Second Amendment Republican right off the House floor.
