Sonny Sandoval (born May 16, 1974) is an American singer and songwriter.
He is best known as co-founder and lead vocalist of the rock band P.O.D. The band has received three Grammy Award nominations, contributed to several motion picture soundtracks, and performed internationally over the course of their careers.
They have sold more than 12 million units around the world. They achieved their first mainstream success with their third studio album, The Fundamental Elements of Southtown; the RIAA named the album platinum in 2000.
Personal life
Shannon and his wife Shannon married in 1996 and have two children, Nevaeh and Marley, as well as Justice (son). Sandoval has been praised for the sudden success of the name Nevaeh, which, as he announced on MTV Cribs, is "heaven" spelled backwards.
